“Disappointed with the room size and standard. Outdated entertainment system. The bath on the 13th floor feels and looks dirty. I had to clean the floor off when going out of the shared bath to ensure my feet stayed clean after taking a bath. Only two elevators feel insufficient when the hotel is fully booked. The waiting time is long and the corridor is gloomy. Only the location is five stars. I am disappointed because when I stayed in the same hotel in Tokyo I felt it was of a higher standard than this.”

“It's a very lovely hotel with the best location right next to Gora station although you need to take a low underpass. The whole hotel is quite spacious and tranquil. We were accommodated in a 6-people dorm room, which is spacious with a very clean and cozy bed. It's quite rare in Japan. The food is highly recommended and tasty at affordable price. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and every time is impressive collection of delicate cuisine.”

“Stayed here for 6 nights. Room is a little larger than what we stayed in Takayama. Location is Great. Lots of walkable tourist spots in the Area. Was also surprised to see that the Bus Going to the Airport was just across the St. Made our lives much easier going back to the airport without us lugging around our things to the trains. Breakfast options are aplenty and definitely worth it for the price. Enjoyed our stay here. Do not have pics of the room but here is a glimpse of breakfast at this time.”

“Personally, I think the food is the best kaiseki cuisine. The quantity and taste were perfect, and it was very delicious. I was disappointed that there were no showers as it was not a villa, but I was able to reserve a family bath and it was great to be able to bring my dog along. There is no elevator, so my child, who has a hernia and cannot go up the stairs, had to be carried up the stairs, which was a bit of an inconvenience. However, it was a satisfying trip considering the price. There was a sea nearby and the scenery was beautiful. I'm thinking of going again.”

“Great place to socialize with Japanese people and internationally too. It was quiet fun to cook on my own and share with others. After the dinner partluck party, you will wash dishes or pat dry the dishes and chopsticks with other travellers as a one team. It will help you form a kind of bond with others. :^) Even the facilities are worn and shabby, the atmosphere(BEST) and friendly staffs will cover all its Cons. You can relex with wide view right in front of the dinning space. You can use every kitchen utensils, souce and powders, but the cleanliness is not that much. I hope the owner changes washers and dishrag regularly. It is located in some rural odd corner so, is hard to find when it becomes dark. And that's exactly the point that you may see many stars in night. And staff Mera-sang sometimes dances with fire in front of nearby sea shore. Some traveller may start to sing songs and play instruments freely, then that is the beginning of small concert easy to get along with! And sometimes staff allow us to climb up to the roof to watch the sky. Then bring camera on one hand and beer on the other hand. X^) It is just Fantastic×2! And you can do laundry with 100 yen one time. Can rent snorkel full set. Fin and life vest 600, Mask and breathe panel 500, then you may get free rental aqua shoes. Gorilla chop is the best snorkelling spot to watch a lots of fishes. 😆 The place is very windy and humid but wanna go back and spend several days.”

“It's within walking distance from Akayu Station. There are public buses, but they are infrequent. The reception at the front desk is very polite and good, not the mechanical response of a business hotel. It would be nice if they would take you to your room and explain it to you. The men's and women's baths are switched in the morning and at night. Whether it's by chance or every day, the women's bath is large with an open-air bath at night, and the men's bath is small, so I should go to the morning bath even if I force myself. The room is quite spacious and comfortable even for one person. It can't be helped that it's old, but it's well kept and very comfortable. It can't be helped that the noise from the hallway can be heard in the room. The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of side dishes, all of which are delicious. The price was quite cheap but you need to pay for administration fee. I didn’t know it is a hostel. Now it makes sense Anyway the staff recommended me this deal 6600 for 8 hours stay (I didn’t care)+bath+60mins massage+ a free drink. It is still quite affordable since a lot of place will charge same for only a massage. It was a good advice. 1. It feels super nice to have bath and sauna before massage 2. Staff can’t speak English at all but they were patient to use a translator 3. Facilities are old. I don’t mind. It is not a fancy spa. It is local. I feel like it is mainly for the hostel guests 4. The most important: the quality of the massage was magnificent. Quite unique experience.”
