“Good place for staying a few days. Managers are lovely and there for you to help. Rooms were okay, the bathroom is really small and the furniture is more like 1980s. Beds were okay, floor could be cleaned better. It's not too far from the center by feet and close to the beach. Breakfast was excellent! All in all, for this price you could get better places but it's okay.”

“Nice hotel with super friendly staff in a great location. Small walk (6 minutes) from the train station and directly across from a private beach (can enter but you have to pay). Staff is really helpful and friendly and will give you ideas on what to do if you aren't sure what to do. Had a great time. Only cons are the rooms are a little small and you can hear the trains but not that loud. I would definitely come back and get a room with the ocean view.”

“We really enjoyed our stay here at the Hotel Europa. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the building was clean and there was secure bicycle storage. The manager really went above and beyond to make us as comfortable as possible. The breakfast included plenty of fresh fruit and coffee, and there was even a lovely cat named Poly that lounges around and loves a good chin scratch. We are from Canada, but the next time we come to Finale we will certainly be staying here again.”

“2-star hotel that could easily have 3. I would like to compliment the waiters in the room, kind and helpful. Excellent cuisine, all homemade by Milva with interesting and light recipes to digest. The desserts prepared by the boy are also excellent. Perfect location near the sea, quiet at night. Tastefully furnished shared areas.”

“We have mixed feelings about Hotel Birillo. On the one hand, the hotel is located perfectly in La Spezia. Everything is within walking distance. The staff was very friendly and spoke English fluently. On the other hand, the bathroom was tiny and in quite bad shape. The shower head kept falling off and the toilet flushed irregularly. What's worst, the bathroom had no window or ventilation. Mold was building up between the tiles and behind the water reservoir. Also, the walls and doors are paper thin. Therefore, our room was noisy during day and night time. We could hear everything happening inside the rooms on the floor and could even understand individual dialogues. We could've dealt with the minor inconveniences, but the mold is a health concern and unacceptable for 130€ per night.”
