“Liz and Michael at front desk are wonderful. Very welcoming, kind, hospitable, and gracious. The room was sparkling clean and nice and big. The parking is amazing - as a business traveler, it’s really important that I have easy in & out complimentary parking and Hampton inn never lets me down. Looking forward to the free unlimited coffee and breakfast in the morning. Thank you again to Liz and Michael for making me feel so welcome and comforted here. 😊😊”

“This hotel deserves its high rating, and I can honestly give it five stars. The hotel feels and smells new. It's larger than your standard Fairfield and the lobby has a lot more seating. The breakfast offerings included cheese omelettes, bacon, hash browns, waffles and all the regular cereals and yogurts. My room was exceptionally large and very quiet. I left my cell phone charger at my daughter's house and needed one for the morning and the front desk was able to find one I could use. I really appreciate them going the extra mile.”

“If you're looking for a different kind of hotel, this is it. Unique, vintage & super clean. Definitely a different kind of experience. I stayed in room 21 which was huge. A different kind of stay in a historical building that's definitely worth it. In a great location, you're across the street from the lake and can easily walk to many different activities. 3 restaurants/bars right on the hotel property. You get 2 drink tickets upon check in if that's your thing. They do offer breakfast, I didn't partake. Plenty parking right onsite. I would definitely stay here again. Only 2 negatives - the train woke me starting at 4am, the heat didn't work so well. I could see it being noisy during warmer months as it's located on a busy street.”

“The rooms are nice. Its location in the heart of historic downtown La Crosse is perfect. There were a few things that were sub par, particularly the pool. The photos of the pool online looked really nice online and I was meeting an old friend here with our kids. The pool was to be a big part of our trip. There is some sort of ventilation/humidity issue in the pool room making it overly humid, off smelling and causing alot of rust and corrosion. The water itself seemed clean enough and sanitary, but overall the pool area really needs some work. For the price we paid, it’d be nice to have functioning pool area. Also someone from the hotel staff came by at 4am in the morning and quite loudly slid a receipt for our stay under the door. They were struggling to get it under the door and it woke me up. I never quite got back to sleep after that. This receipt delivery service was completely unnecessary in this age of email. I would have preferred to not have been woken up.”

“Well maintained property, clean, no nasty smells that are in so many hotels at this price point. Comfy bed, pillows, newer towels, bedding and pillows. I believe all rooms are equipped with kitchenettes including full size fridge/freezer. Stayed Monday-Friday and it was quiet, had a heavy hoof pounding walker above me my 1st night but some people are oblivious to the noise they create so that’s not a knock on the property as other nights I barely knew anyone was above me. Many reviews complain about breakfast, it is pathetic but keep in mind it’s a cheaper hotel so don’t be a fool and expect a restaurant style breakfast buffet, you do get what you pay for and what you’re getting is in line with price you’re paying.”

“The hotel is in downtown, so not a great choice for family vacation. They view is only parking garage! They don’t have parking! You have to park by yourself in a nearby paid parking place from which you have to walk back to hotel which is very inconvenient during winter. They were very reluctant about the free breakfast. The shelves were out for many items, such as they had cereal but not milk; had pancake batter, not maple syrup !”
