“What an amazing hotel. Just come back from a mini break for our anniversary and we have had a great time. Checking in great, rooms great (especially the Jacuzzi), breakfast excellent selection and service. Even housekeeping were very helpful and nice. So close to the beach, the area is great for walking but also lots of joggers, cycling and watersport. Lots of restaurants close by and a short bus ride to the Cagliari city centre. Amazing unforgettable anniversary break. Thanks”

“We were very disappointed with this Hotel. We arrived just after midnight on a late flight and there was not even any complimentary water or snacks in the room. You would need to purchase this from the bar. The mini fridge was empty, no kettle provided. Asked for an iron and was told they don't provide irons and would need to ask laundry service in the morning and pay a charge which is billed to your room. Nothing to hang your wet clothes on the balcony. Considering the beach is so close you would think they would have a drying rack for wet clothes. The TV was a small 20-22". Bathroom was very small. There were no maps and no tourist information. The taxi to the airport costs you over 40€ (10 min drive) when there is no traffic. Flight was early in the morning and was told they would prepare a cold breakfast packed which we could collect night before. Thought that was kind of them. But, when we went to reception was told there is nothing the person responsible must have forgotten. Wow amazing customer service they forgot!! The gentleman at reception in the morning was kind enough to give us bottled water and orange juice. Breakfast was the only positive about this hotel. The hot tubs we were told only had cold water. Interior decor could do with an upgrade. Rating 1 star and that's for the breakfast only. Very dissatisfied.”

“Really enjoyed my stay at El Balear. My room was exactly as it looked on the website and it was so clean. The hotel was very clean overall. In my room there were shelves and plugs where they were needed. The room had everything I needed. Bathroom was perfect. The room also had a balcony, also much needed aircon. All the staff at reception were very helpful and kind. Offering tips in the local area and assisting me with my luggage, taxi etc . They were efficient and very friendly. The breakfast was extensive and the staff were again very friendly. All of them greeting us every day and getting anything we needed. The location is good too. A short walk along the promenade to the old town. I'd recommend this hotel.”

“Terrible experience. While the staff was incredibly helpful and kind, they couldn’t make up for the state of the hotel. It is currently under construction, which they failed to mention previous to the booking, and it got very loud at some points. Our window gave way to one of the walls under construction and the windows could not open, so we had no natural light (and one of the lights in the room did not work). There was mold in the bathroom and the general look of the hotel was that of a hospital. Would not recommend at all.”

“Great location in a quiet area. Only sounds are the bells from the cattle in the field. Room was clean and air conditioning available. Breakfast was also good. I would stay here again.”
