“This hotel is well cared for and renovated over the years it is of a high standard inside and outside . The rooms are large and clean with good air conditioning. Car parking is on the road for free. Walking distance to restaurants and the beach and promenade across the road. The hotel also has its own lido and one of the best and well maintained lido that I have seen. The beach is clean and clear water. We ate in the restaurant one night a little bit pricey but the food is excellent and all fresh, pleasantly surprised. The one flaw of the restaurant is that it did not have much ambiance, too much lighting, no music but a TV was on In all from the Lido to front reception the restaurant & housekeepers the staff are all professional, kind and respectful.”

“We stayed at Hotel Garden for a full week. It was the most relaxing and enjoyable time we had in our 5 week trip to Italy. Our room was clean and fresh, the whole hotel was this way. It is attractively presented with a multitude of spaces to enjoy and relax in, with drinks from the bar if you desire. The beach club is fantastic, the staff are all friendly, welcoming and obliging. The restaurant I will review separately but let me just say you will not be disappointed. Thank you Umberto and staff for a truely wonderful week.”

“Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (Not even a 1-star) I recently had the misfortune of staying at Rocca di Vadaro Resort, and I feel compelled to share my nightmarish experience to spare others from this ordeal. To put it simply, this place is a complete disaster, and I wouldn't even give it one star. Here are the reasons why you should steer clear of this establishment: 1. Non-Existent Air Conditioning: The rooms lack any form of air conditioning. There is only one unit in the main area that blows lukewarm air, which conveniently switches off every time a door opens. Sleeping here during hot weather is unbearable. The windows also lack netting so forget opening them at night. 2. Inadequate Kitchen Facilities: The kitchen facilities are a joke. There's no provision for making tea or coffee, not even a grain of sugar. The setup is barebones, and you're better off dining elsewhere or at a neighboring establishment. 3. Electrical Hazards: Exposed cables and bare plugs jutting out from the walls are everywhere. It's a safety hazard waiting to happen, highlighting a complete lack of attention to detail. 4. Outdated Bathrooms: The shower appears untouched since the 1970s. It's a relic from the past, showing extensive wear and tear. Prepare for an unpleasant experience when using it. 5. Uncomfortable Beds and Bedding: The beds are rigid and seem ancient. The bedding is scratchy and worn, making it impossible to get a good night's sleep. You'd be more comfortable sleeping on the floor. 6. Harsh Lighting and Noisy Atmosphere: The lighting in the rooms is excessively bright and harsh, making it feel like you're under interrogation. The place is noisy, and there's no chance of enjoying a peaceful stay. 7. Permeating Moldy Smells: The place reeks of mold, which is not only unpleasant but also a serious health concern. The smell lingers and never seems to dissipate. 8. Overpriced Beach Access: If you want to access the beach, be prepared to pay a whopping 15 euros per day for a minuscule 1-meter space in front of what can only be described as a puddle of a beach. It's a blatant rip-off. 9. Abysmal Wi-Fi Service: To add insult to injury, the Wi-Fi service is a complete joke. You're given access for a mere 15 hours, after which you must obtain a new code. This is not only inconvenient but also frustrating for guests who expect a basic amenity to be readily available. The only saving grace in this dreadful experience was the staff's friendliness. They do their best to mask the horrendous conditions with their smiles, but it's evident that they're fighting an uphill battle. In conclusion, avoid Rocca di Vadaro Resort at all costs. Spare yourself the misery and choose neighboring accommodations instead. It's inconceivable that any place could be worse than this appalling excuse for a hotel.”

“We spent 2 weeks in this hotel where we enjoyed wonderful weather, wonderful local calabrian food and wine and a very hospitable crew. The manager of the hotel is an experienced man and he coaches his crew in an extraordinary way. They are all eager to please the client. My breakfast cappucino was the best ever! Also the restaurant is of exquisite quality. All the food is freshly prepared and of local simplicity. But the taste is heavenly. Half- or full board is recommended, just because of the ingenuity of the cooks with their fresh products (in summer mainly see food dishes and fresh pastas). The rooms are simple and of ample dimensions. Cleaning is daily and very thorough. The current manager has his first year (2011) as managing director of this hotel, but all of his actions show he is a well experienced man. Anyway, don't let first impressions take you down. We (as a lot of guests allready do) will return to this hotel. Even if it was only to taste the food and the wines of the Ciró.”

“Location is very good as the Residence is close to the beach and the city centre where you can hang out every night for drinks and cocktails or just to relax eating a slice of MussiRussi pizza. Rooms are ok: plenty of space and in some of them even a/c. Kitchen's rooms are provided with the basic cutlery and pans but some of them are a little bit old and rusty so you should ask the reception to change them. Wifi is not working at all, even if they say the contrary. Common areas should be provided with WiFi but Internet connection is so slow that with ten people connected to it it will be impossible to download even a simple Web page. All in all, a nice place to stay if you want to relax and enjoy the nightlife offered by Sangineto.”
