“I’ll start with the bad. Felt like a budget hotel for sure. They just installed some holders for the soaps and shampoos in the bathroom but there was still piles of drywall debris on the ground that they never cleaned up. The bed would make a loud clunking noise anytime you sat down on it. Bottom floor has a strong chlorine smell, which is expected since it’s next to the pool, the food from the bar was just “ok” nothing special. Had the pasta and it felt like it was a little small for the price you’re paying. As for the good, breakfast was great. It was simple but I did enjoy what they had very much. Was able to get full for about $16 a person I think. The service was phenomenal, the front desk was friendly, the people running breakfast were polite. I don’t remember her name but it starts with a D, short gal. She was our bartender the night we got there and she did an outstanding job and went well beyond what we would expect. I wasn’t a fan of the hotel rooms themselves and wouldn’t come back for that. However I would definitely come back knowing this Rockstar works there and is willing to take care of any needs you have and have a good conversation with. Keep her! If she doesn’t work there anymore then you really messed up.”

“I recently had an extremely disheartening experience at the Hyatt Hotel, which I feel compelled to share. My wife and I had a reservation, but upon my arrival - in a hospital outfit due to a recent car accident - I was shocked by the hotel's rigid and insensitive policy. Despite providing confirmation of the reservation made under both our names, the staff adamantly refused to let me check in without my wife being present. This lack of compassion and flexibility in a situation where I was clearly in distress is appalling. I was in pain and in desperate need of rest, but instead, I was forced to leave and find another hotel that could accommodate me. Such an experience is not only a gross failure in customer service but also a stark lack of basic human empathy. I am deeply disappointed and will not be returning to the Hyatt Hotel. It's alarming how a reputable establishment can disregard the immediate needs of a guest, especially one in a vulnerable state. I hope this review serves as a wake-up call to the Hyatt Hotel to re-evaluate their policies and staff training, ensuring no other guest has to endure what I went through. In response to the owner, the reservation was not cancelled through the call center by myself or my wife who was trying to rent a rental car to come to the hotel to meet me. The man at the podium said nothing about the reservation being cancelled. He only demanded I wait until my wife arrived in order to give me a room. Totally unacceptable. Not sure I want to continue as a Hyatt Discoverest. I look forward to your call.”

“We stayed there on January 1st for early flight the next day. The room and the hotel seemed well maintained and very clean. The check in and out at the front desk was pretty smooth. They provide breakfast and coffee but due to our early flight we had to grab a to go bag that they make available. It had a cookie and a apple. The hotel provides a shuttle to airport but need to give a 15 minute advance notice. Our driver was early in that regard but no issues for us as we were ready. It was very quiet there so we slept well. There is not a restaurant on site but the Hilton right next door has one. We would definitely stay there again!”

“We checked in for several days while visiting family. The room was very, very clean, and it was quiet. I had two interactions with the front desk staff and they were kind and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The only thing I might add is that the TVs in the rooms are small and dated, but we didn't use them. I did request housekeeping one day, and I came back that afternoon to a very clean room once again. I'll definitely choose this location when I return next year!”

“We stayed here over Thanksgiving and will be coming back! The included breakfast was what you expect, but was regularly restocked and kept fresh. The staff was attentive and friendly every step of the way, from the front door to the facilities team. We had a King room with kitchenette and thought this was a great value for the space. It was perfect for a couple and two toddlers; including the warm spacious shower. The hours for the pool/hot tub were good for us: 6am-10pm. I'm not sure when this was built, but it seems very new which we enjoyed. Parking was easy and next to the building, but outside and it was 17 degrees one morning; plus $10/day -- this is literally my only negative here. The location is a quite couple of blocks from the Old Mill shopping area, walking paths, and the big concert venue just across the river. Highly recommend staying here.”

“My daughter and I arrived on 12/15 at 4:00. Let me start by saying that I am a fan of Holiday Inn, and it has been a trusted brand for me. This hotel stay, however, was not good. The hotel was hosting two large events, and they only had one desk clerk. I was told his name is Chris, and he was really nice, proficient at his job, and maintained a positive attitude, which is why I gave service 4 stars. When we arrived, there was a family in the lobby with kids running around, the phone was ringing, and it was crazy, which is what my daughter and I were trying to get away from for the weekend. After we finally checked in, we got to room 332 and it smelled like someone had spilled a bottle of men's cologne. Because the front desk clerk was so busy, and we had to go back out, we opened the window with the expectation it would air out the room. When we returned to the room 2 hours later, the smell was still horrendous. I have allergies, and it was giving me a headache, so I called down to Chris at the front desk and he had another room available. My daughter and I then had to carry all of our stuff down to the lobby to get the new room number and keys. We were then put in room 345, and it was smaller than the first room, but sufficient. While we were settling in, the people in the room above us were stomping and running, and it was so LOUD. At this point, it's already after 9:00 and we had already switched rooms once, so we didn't want to go through the inconvenience of having to change rooms a third time, so we felt like we had to just deal with it. Needless to say, neither one of us got any really good sleep because the stomping and noise were constant. This hotel is definitely not soundproof. We were there for my daughter's birthday weekend, and we were hugely disappointed with this stay.”
