“First off it says it’s a 3 star hotel. It is not. It is a 4.5 star hotel without a doubt!!! And the staff make it feel VIP for they are so lovely! All the ladies at the front desk, the sweet breakfast woman too! The hotel itself is something else- just wait until you see the view!!!! Just WoW! It’s like 3 min from the train station and they have a shuttle to take you. Our room was full of wood like a cabin feel, so nice, with a beautiful modern bathroom. It was simple super cozy, kind of perfectly romantic for New Years Eve while it snowed huge snowflakes outside. For a longer stay I’d splurge for a bigger room but for one night it was perfect! The view of the Grace hotel lit up, the NYE fireworks, and the lake off the balcony was just awesome (room 408). The whisky bar is incredible and the fact you can smoke a cigar inside there it’s fantastic!”

“Site in a good location with decent, clean facilities. Unfortunately not secure. Several people, including us, had camping chairs and tables stolen last night. Luckily our bikes were locked up. The entrance barrier, which is supposed to be disabled at 11pm, can be lifted one handed far enough to get a car beneath and no security cams on the gate. Staff unhelpful and refuse to report things to the police despite multiple thefts from their premises. Despite the manager's reply there was no offer of help with reporting the matter, nor did management approach us (or the other guests who had items stolen despite our request to do so. Total failure in customer care Not a site I would return to and one that does not speak well for the Huttopia brand.”

“Charming comfortable hotel in OLD building in Chinon. Much character. Rooms were pleasantly decorated, bathrooms recently redone and modern. Lovely outdoor area. Had a lovely chat with our host after the morning breakfast hubbub had abated — about the building and Chinon mostly. She gave us a wonderful recommendation for a local wine producer’s cave down the street. Highly recommended for a visit to Chinon — great quiet location, can walk to everything. Warm welcome.”

“As expected , good location and pretty much what we expect from Ibis Styles hotels . Nothing fancy but perfect for an overnight stop. Also this location has a choice of nearby restaurants. On small gripe is my standard one regarding the towels, they always appear to be rather small and well worn in most Ibis Styles hotels. How often are they replaced ? Could I suggest, more frequently ?”

“We used the hotel as a stopover on way home from the Pyrenees and was fine for that. Good size room that was clean and tidy. Good cold breakfast selection for pastries. Limited in places to eat within walking distance although we found a great pizza place next to a craft beer micro brewery that we would recommend. One of the best pizzas I've had - La Petite Fabrique, next door to Brasserie Bros Bar”
