“I have spent the summer traveling and, whenever possible, stay at a Hilton-brand property. Due to this, I don't normally write reviews - unless they are notably great - because brands are about consistency. You hope you know what to expect. This hotel in Freeport, though, prompted me to share some thoughts. The people who work there truly care about what they are doing. At every point, we met people who were friendly, considerate, and genuine. This was the highlight. Our room was spotless. It was worth a few extra dollars to get a suite for a two-night stay. Finally, the location is great. It is just a short walk away from LL Bean and all the other shopping and restaurants. It was exactly what we wanted. Check it out if you want a comfortable stay where you will feel welcomed as a guest.”

“The room is clean and the staff is friendly. The bathroom door is one of those barn doors on rollers that first of all doesn’t lock and second of all spontaneously opens because the bar is not level. Just poor design that didn’t start with a guest perspective. Editing after breakfast. Good breakfast and clean pool. If they only had a functioning door on the room bathroom (it’s kind of important outside of a middle school or asylum), this place would be a winner.”

“3:55pm Friday, December 15th, 2023 the lobby was perfect! The on staff lady was making fresh coffee. Her greeting was impeccable. *I didn't stay there, but it was being professionally operated at the time and date specified and I would eagerly stay at this unit. Great job! Exactly what Hampton corporate expects. Excellent showing.”

“Stayed here for 2 night weekend of Thanksgiving. Overall a great experience. Lobby is fancy. Had an issue with my key card. Staff took care of it. Reasonable room with an affordable pet fee. The room wasn't fancy but clean. The location is very convenient to the airport and highway. Was disappointed at no free breakfast as most holiday inns offer that service, but free coffee is cool. If you're on a budget and want a clean room, this is a great place to stay.”

“I wanted to write a review of Strawberry Hill Seaside Inn even though, due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to cancel the reservation I had made for days in August. I booked the reservation through an online agency and not directly through the Inn. According to that agency, there wouldn't be a cancelation fee if I canceled in a certain time period, which I did. When I received my credit card statement, I was surprised to see that I had been charged a fee. I called the Inn and spoke to the owner. He explained to me how the booking agency worked, and even though he didn't have to refund the fee, he said he would. (And he did.) Because he was so gracious and true to his word, I wanted to write a review acknowledging his excellent service. I am looking forward to visiting the Inn in 2024 and this time I will book directly through the Inn.”

“The location is perfect. A great place to easily explore BBH. The room was spacious and nicely appointed. We also got an upgraded bathrooms that was just perfect -- great shower -- always a plus! The beds were comfortable, making for a sound nights sleep after a busy day. The employees at Fisherman's Wharf Inn always make you feel welcome. The lounge and restaurant have spectacular views. The steamers and mussels were the best we had in the region. I suspect the rest of the food is as good.”

“We had to stay here because our broke down not very far from here while we were returning from from the labor day weekend. The gentleman at the reception and the ladies at the cafeteria are good to talk to. But those are the only good things about this place. The rooms are disgustingly dirty. My socks turned black just walking on the carpet. The bathtub was choked and filled with dirty water. There were cobwebs and bugs in the rooms. And the cost of the rooms were more than what we paid at the Marriott in Portsmouth when we stayed there a couple of days before we had to stay here. The breakfast is as basic as can be. Certainly not worth the price we paid for the rooms. Avoid!”

“Great check in/check out. Rooms were clean, and I appreciated the door codes instead of dealing with keys or key cards. I arrived after the front desk closed and received a helpful phone call to walk me through what to expect, since it was my first time staying. Staff for the Inn was very kind, helpful, and polite. Room was a little cold, and the sound machine in the room was clutch for drowning out any restaurant noise.”
