“The room was nice, the staff were friendly, and the shuttle service was prompt. However, none of the ice machines were in working order (I had to go to the dining area to get a bucket of ice) and the water pressure was pretty disappointing. In addition, in contrast to every other Hyatt Place I have stayed at, there was a charge for parking. If you need a nice room 5 minutes from the airport, the place is fine. Otherwise, you might want to consider other options.”

“Great hotel. I've to this hotel before in past. Good location for any to have access to the highway to travel through the great city of Austin. The Domain shopping center is nearby and as well as other amenities. The downside is that the morning breakfast hours are very inconvenient since other hotels offer better breakfast schedule hours. Staff are very helpful and the atmosphere is excellent.”

“My company Amazing Art Expo did a Disney, Star Wars, Anime art event at the Holiday Inn Midtown the weekend of Feb 1-3rd and my staff and I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. I want to first state, the rooms were incredibly clean, comfortable and the beds were very comfortable to a point where I slept better here than I do in my regular bed at home. The parking was plentiful and free and my staff and I felt safe with the surroundings that each night we walked to a restaurant without any worries. In first contacting the hotel about a month prior to the event, I spoke to Angie Mitschke who took the time to go over potential dates and respecting my budgetary needs, Angie worked extensively with me to accommodate our budget and reserve the ballrooms for us. I then proceeded to communicate with Mayra Lopez. Mayra was very adamant about making certain our room setup fit our expectations and her communication with me was outstanding. Despite our move-in date scheduled for Friday morning, Feb 1st, I requested at the last minute if we could unload the merchandise in our truck on Thursday afternoon in order to save time. Mayra and Angie both made this possible which gave us much more time to set up on Friday. This was a very nice add on and was greatly appreciated. The ballroom setup person (unfortunately I forgot his name) often checked in with us to see if we needed any service. Needless to say, the staff went above and beyond expectations. I highly recommend this hotel and I plan to do future business with them.”

“I was in town for a conference but wanted to be close to the highway and places to eat. I was happy to find the Fairfield Inn & Suites by The Domain. I reserved a king bed suite, which was quite spacious. The separate living area is great to sit and chill or eat a meal. The desk has more than enough outlets, which means it was designed with today's person in mind. I didn't find any USB outlets, so that can be an issue for some. The bed isn't the most luxurious, but it's decent. I slept well and I had a room facing the highway. I'm not a light sleeper, but I didn't even hear the highway or the train nearby. Overall, this is a great value. The front desk team is polite and very cordial. The complimentary breakfast is pretty good too minus the turkey sausage.”

“We booked a last minute trip to Austin and were looking for pet friendly options. The hotel was very welcoming to pets and their humans alike. The staff were very prompt in service and friendly. Smiling faces all around. The valet Patrick was super friendly and very helpful! There was a pet fee of $75. Would encourage a pet relief area in the hotel if possible as the grassy spots close by are few and with the traffic poses a challenge.”

“Great hotel. Here for work. Not sure what her name is, but the lady working the front desk was super friendly and helpful. Location is right off of the highway, but is in proximity to a fantastic half mile walking trail in the back. Real nice trail to have when driving all day. Hotel itself is well kept. Parking ample. Walking distance to a sushi place. Above all the customer service provided by the front desk lady was the best thing.”

“I checked into our rooms via the Hilton app and reserved our room. We arrived at 3 am very tired and ready to sleep. We got to the door and it was locked and no one was at the desk to let us in the hotel. After waiting a woman outside smoking got up to help after she was done. I requested a physical key for myself and my partner for our room. When we went to our room and were unable to open the door. We could not get into the room so she made us a new key. We went back and were still unable to enter. After multiple attempts I requested the attendant come with because the keys were not working. When the door was opened someone else was in the room. This was extremely embarrassing but also scary as the person in the room was upset by this happening at almost 4am. This is a huge security and privacy concern for myself and the guest that was in the room. At this point I wanted to leave but after driving for 15hrs and unloading my entire vehicle I was not able to safely relocate at 4 am. We went back to the front desk and I was given a key to another room that the bed had been slept in and it was filthy. By the 3 room the bed was clean but there was a live roach. The next day I talked to the manager Jamar who offered to refund the stay. He lied to us and told us our room had been moved without notice because they were going to upgrade us which isn’t possible because we had a king which is the best room they offer. He continued to put the blame on us for using the app to check in. I wanted to check out and call Hilton honors and he offered to refund the visit. We left it at that and withheld our formal complaint and now a month later I have not seen a refund it and tried to follow up with him. He stated that we have to call to get it refunded from Hilton. I iterated that to him he never mentioned this and he raised his voice at me and told me I’m cutting him off and he did say this and hung up the phone.This is very unlike any Hilton I have stayed at and highly unprofessional. I will be escalating this to corporate. I love Hilton but this location needs huge corrective action if it maintains to be apart of the brand. I encourage anyone who still chooses to stay there after reading this to document all interactions with the manager Jamar as he is a professional gaslighter.”
