“Started off badly. The room we were given (42) smelled , the walls had been badly repaired and painted over and the shower was so hot on even the coolest setting I could barely get under it. They changed the room for us in a blink. Made me wonder if others had complained before. We were upgraded to a much larger room 47. Lots of space but the bed was two connected, not a genuine king or double. It was very clean , the bed was comfortable. The place is a little dated but has good parking right in front and no noise. This may have earned it three stars but I have lifted it as the restaurant was a pleasant surprise . The food was a little expensive but portion sizes were good and the food very tasty. The breadcrumbs prawn starter was to die for. We have family that might need to stay here, they will like it. Breakfast in the morning was a little limited. Others do it better, but there was enough.”

“I should have reviewed before, we held my wonderful Dad’s funeral wake here, they did him proud.. service couldn’t be faulted, neither could the food, buffet all hot and fresh and topped up regularly, no plate left empty, staff friendly and attentive, beautiful place, my Dad would definitely have approved x am very happy to recommend, location excellent for after funerals as close to Woodlands Cemetery. Excellent all round x thank you x”
