“Where there's a *Will*, there's a way. I was only planning on staying long enough to get a few hours' sleep before needing to get to a very early appointment nearby. Unfortunately, heavy rainfall conspired to keep me away, with every route my GPS suggested leaded to flooded roads. Fortunately, I reached Will at the front desk, who talked me though a way around the flooded roads and got me parked and checked in safely. We had record rains and flood waters were encroaching on the parking lot but Will assured me he'd keep an eye out all night and call my room if we got into any trouble. His patience, local knowledge and consideration were worth way more than the cost of the room (which was clean and quiet, by the way). I got a couple hours of sleep, but mostly I felt grateful that there was someone at this hotel who expressed genuine concern for my welfare as a guest. Kudos to Will!”
