“I booked a corner suite and we stayed on the 22nd floor. Great views of the city! The room was essentially a studio apartment, so it was a bit small. It had a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, counter-top stove, microwave, toaster, and everything you need to prepare a full meal. I discovered the coffee maker was broken when trying to use it. This seems to be a theme with Hilton hotels. Leaving broken appliances in the rooms for guests to frustrate over. There was a half drank bottle of water between the bed and nightstand, not ours, housekeeping missed it between prior cleanings. Not that big of a deal. It could have been worse, like left over food. All hotel staff we encountered were friendly. Breakfast was included with our stay. Parking could not have been easier as the garage is the first 3 floors of the hotel. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and are planning a trip back (with the kids next time).”

“Very happy with this hotel. Our infant daughter needed a surgery and we are from out of state we knew we would be staying for a week or two and searched high and low in the north and northwest suburbs for a hotel with Kitchenet and good reviews hard to find. Very pleased that we picked Homes 2 in Schaumburg. Great location dozen food spots within walking distance hotel was nice breakfast was good nothing extraordinary and rooms were in good shape and clean. You can ask for an induction hot plate with pan for more options on cooking. All the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend.”

“I think this is my first bad experience at a Hyatt hotel I am sad to say. Front desk staff was amazing on check in and to explain my issues. We had a 2 bedroom suite and the feel overall of the room felt like a motel 6. We had two bathrooms but one was clogged when we arrived, the other constantly ran all night which kept us up. We tried to call maintenance for over an hour but the line was busy and we never got through to anyone. We ended up shutting off the water of the clogged toilet. We would have done that on the running toilet but that was our only working toilet with 5 of us. I told someone in the morning at the front desk and he apologized. We were here for a Cheer. Competition at the NOW Arena and did not sleep well or have a good overall experience. I love many things about Hyatt hotels and up until now our experiences have been positive. The only thing that brought the service score up was the front desk staff.”

“The service we received from staff was exceptional. John at the front desk was absolutely phenomenal and very personable. I liked the modern look and feel of the hotel. In addition, needing to scan your room card to access the hotel and use the elevator added an additional level of security which I appreciated. The breakfast bowl option was different and it was good as well. Lastly, the location was perfect! I had an amazing stay and would recommend staying here. It will definitely be my go to the next time I visit Chicago!”

“Great hotel in the city! Most of the hotels in Chicago tend to be concentrated downtown, so it’s great to have one so close to West Town and Wicker Park. This opens up a whole new part of Chicago to tourists and out of town guests. The rooms, lobby, and bar are very nice and modern. Parking is available for an additional fee (typical for Chicago) and it is valet-only. However, you can have access to your car as often and anytime that you want. Public transit-wise, the closest train station is the Division Blue line — which is a bit of a hike but not too bad. The #9 and #72 buses also pass right by the hotel. All in all, this is a great spot to consider if you are visiting town and want to see more than the standard downtown tourist sites.”

“Immediately upon arrival the staff was great at the front desk. They were warm and welcoming, just what we needed after a day of travel. The hotel stay was short for us but I can say that we didn’t have any complaints outside of the fact that our room was extremely toasty. Although the weather in Chicago was a bit chillier (40s/rainy) it seemed like the room temperature never really got cooler which led to a night of toss and turns because we were uncomfortable. Overall nice stay, just wish it wasn’t so hot in the room making it somewhat of an unbearable night making me want to expedite my stay. Pretty convenient location for travel by Lyft/uber not really within walking distance to much else outside of a few restaurants nearby. They do have a rooftop restaurant bar, super cool and a few bars nearby but nothing a quick Lyft from the hotel can’t change. Hotel parking is quite expensive but cheaper than surrounding. You might be better off not renting if you don’t need to get around. However, if you are planning to travel around like us then I would recommend parking in the lot next to the hotel, (you do not get in and out access) and walk/commute other places.”
