Clarion Hotel Tyholmen

Teaterplassen 2, 4801 Tyholmen, Norway

“No roomservice and clogged bathroom. Used all the towels to clean it up. No new towels next day and the bed was note made. I had a superior room. The staff in reception valued their computers more than human contact, only one of them looked at me, barely”

Holmen Fjordhotell

Slemmestadveien 64, 1394 Nesbru, Norway

“Brilliant location in Holmen, on the fjord of Oslo. Ideal for business conferences or for family trips. Good restaurant with fish. Very good breakfast. Very competent team at the reception desk. Sound isolation and maintenance could be improved in some older rooms. Gaming room needs some investment/repairs. All in all, still very good !”

Clarion Collection Hotel Havnekontoret

Slottsgaten 1, 5003 Bergen, Norway

“We had such a nice stay here. The staff was friendly and provided great recommendations. We stayed in the Founders Suite which was spacious, comfy and clean. There was a great view of the water from our balcony. The location was excellent and we could walk to everything we needed. The hotel is unique. You must walk around as there are some really interesting rooms that probably have an interesting history. Parking was easy in the underground garage across the street - although the spaces are tiny so it might be stressful if you're in a large car. Being in the center of a busy area, it can be a bit noisy if you're a light sleeper so bring some ear plugs. There was a restaurant next door that played loud music, but we had our ear plugs so it was not an issue. We were out and about the entire afternoon and evening so we did not experience fika or the dinner here. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night, but we highly recommend them!”

Hotel Christiania Teater

Closed until 03:00 PM

Stortingsgata 16, 0161 Oslo, Norway

“This was our first time in Oslo and it won't be our last if the recent experience at Hotel Christiania Teater is anything to go by. The staff are truly wonderful and very accommodating. We had booked a three night stay and then a one night stay to round out our week and they managed all the logistics (including keeping one of our bags there while we took an overnight jaunt to Lillehammer) without batting an eyelid or making us feel like we were an imposition. They always had a kind word for our 8 year old too. The inclusive breakfast is definitely worth a mention and they accommodated many different tastes and diet preferences, both personal and necessary so that everyone could find something they enjoyed (our daughter never eats pancakes three days in a row so she was thrilled!). Everything was fresh and well prepared. The location is perfect for first-timers in Oslo and we were fortunate to also have a Christmas Market in full swing across from the hotel entrance (noise was never an issue). It's close to the tram, bus, and subway lines and a very easy connection to the airport. We will be choosing them again next time we are in Oslo. If it's your first or fifth time and you are looking for comfort and convenience Hotel Christiania Teater should be your first stop.”

Wood Hotel

Tårnvegen 55, 2380 Brumunddal, Norway

“I was really looking forward to my stay at the Wood Hotel, because the concept of a tower made from wood just sounded amazing - and it was looking very cozy, as well. In reality, I was immediately a little..."irritated" upon arrival. When I looked on Google Earth, the surrounding area looked quite peaceful. But the satellite images are heavily outdated. There is a Highway "now" right in front of the hotel and a huge parking space. So the area in front of the hotel felt more like a Highway Truck stop and less like a "relaxing vacation next to a lake". Unfortunately, you can "feel" this Truck Stop/Highway atmosphere even in your Hotel Room (at least, if it's a corner room to the north-west). The windows aren't that thick and you hear the highway noise. But also, at night there were quite a few car-posers, who let their engines roar. There also was a guy with his motorbike, trying to do some tricks on the empty parking space (again, at night). The room's walls are quite thin in general. When someone around or above you has children, you WILL notice. The Breakfast was mostly average. This doesn't mean it was bad, but just not very special either. I noticed that the slices of cheese or salmon were sticking together in a way that made it hard to pick up anything. So in the end - and I'm really sorry to say this - the Hotel feels more like an average motel and less like this amazing and relaxing experience, a sustainable tower made from wood next to a lake might promise.”

Thon Partner Hotel Norge
4.1
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 03:00 PM

Dronningens gate 5, 4610 Kristiansand, Norway

“Excellent location and friendly staff. Very affordable price for the room too. My only complaint is that they don't seem to care that the sidewalk is blocked. Motorists in this city do not seem to care in the least about hitting pedestrians, so it was a struggle to safely exit the hotel every time.”

Hummeren Hotel

Closed until 02:00 PM

Havnevegen 30, 4056 Tananger, Norway

“I don't have any WiFi in my room. That's only one problem because I really need good WiFi in my work travel. Except this place was very good, breakfast was very tasty and fresh.”
