“There really is no location more perfect than this. All major spots, landmarks and even delicious restaurants are close by. There are many H10 Hotel branches, but H10 Medison is by far the best. The room was a little small, but the bed was very comfortable and everything was there. The meticulousness of preparing champagne and cake to celebrate my birthday was outstanding. I was very satisfied with Barcelona and... it was my first experience in Spain. Highly recommended.”

“I do not recommend this hotel, and here are a few reasons why: Day 1: I had to change rooms because they were playing extremely loud music by the pool. Day 2: I had to switch rooms again because I was given a room by the road, and I couldn't sleep with all the cars passing right outside. Day 3: I was awakened at 5 in the morning because the toilet flush was stuck, causing water to run every 3 minutes. I went to the front desk and asked if I could have breakfast at the hotel as compensation for not being able to go out due to poor sleep. They told me the manager would contact me at 10 am. However, the manager never reached out during my entire week-long stay. The staff only referred to the manager. When I requested to speak directly with the manager, they told me that it was during the Christmas holiday season, and reaching the manager was difficult. It seemed that the staff used the manager as an excuse to avoid addressing my concerns. Generally, the building was also very noisy. Any noise from neighboring rooms, such as showers or footsteps, easily penetrated the walls and could be heard in my room. If you value a good night's sleep, do not choose this hotel. Another incident occurred when I asked to buy a coffee at the bar in the morning. The person there told me I had to wait 15 minutes until opening, only to find out it was just a coffee machine. This is the level of service they provide.”

“Well what can I say? I’ve been to this hotel 4 times with my mum and it never fails to impress. The hotel itself and poolside are beautiful, the food is delicious and plentiful and the staff are truly welcoming. What more could you ask for? Everyone is lovely but a special mention and thanks to Jorge, Marta and Estefania who always go out of their way to make us feel welcome. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and can’t wait to come back! “Helpful, friendly staff. The hotel is situated in a good central area that has many restaurants & tapas bars. The room was unusual in that the basin was in the bedroom, not the bathroom. I'd have preferred more room to place our suitcases, but we managed. The room had a nice terrace which unfortunately we couldn't use it due to the cold weather. The breakfast was varied & nicely cooked.”

It’s a lovely location, has excellent and friendly service, comfortable big rooms, 5-star grounds of terraces and gardens, and magnificent views. The signed artwork was eclectic and impressive. I would remodel the sitting room of our suite removing the desks and adding a sleeper sofa and side tables.”

“We stayed at Hotel Tigaiga in January 2024. Overall it was a pleasant and positive experience. The location of the hotel is about a 20 minute walk up from Puerto de la Cruz downtown and is quite quiet. The service staff are very professional and friendly and always willing to help. For example, the beds were too hard for us and they put tops on them so they were softer. Our booking included breakfast and dinner. Both where standard. The breakfast was of good quality. For dinner they offer a menu (not a buffet) where you have two options for starters and two options for the main course (meat or fish) and desert. If you are a vegatarian or vegan there where no options on the official menu on any day. But we must admit that we did not ask for them. Officially there are none. Would we book this hotel again? Without the dinner option, yes. However, for some reason we did not sleep well most of the nights. Surely this was because the beds were too hard at first. But my partner slept well after they added the top.”

“Great hotel, currently staying here for our honeymoon. Staff are friendly. Guests are mainly of a more mature age and the entertainment suites them. Great base for exploring. Pool lovely and empty, can always get a sunbed, beach a short walk away. Strip of bars, restaurants and shops close by. Great place and great hotel with welcome drinks on arrival.”

“The hotel was really comfortable and clean. The reception staff were really helpful. The main languages are German and Spanish, but the reception and some service staff in the dining hall spoke English. I went when it was probably quiet after Easter break for schools. The hotel is right on the beach. Your room card gives you access to the roof top pool and lounge areas and the spa and indoor pool. I really enjoyed having the pool to myself on a couple of days. All shops and restaurants are also right on the door step. Transport is great. The bus links along the coast are very efficient. Update: just visited with my son for autumn school break. It was great to have a different experience. And solidified my thoughts that there really is something for all the family. It's great to watch sunrises on the beach. Being a beach front location is a bonus.”

“We had a very pleasant experience in this hotel located in the heart of the jerte valley. Id like to first highlight the excellent service received. You can store a bike near reception. We were upgraded to a larger room overlooking the river which made the stay memorable. It was dead quiet and the bed was very comfortable measuring 180cm x200cm. Breakfast was ok but lunch was amazing and very affordable if you go for the set menu. The best part though is the dining hall which has superb views of the valley. On the down side the tesla destination charger wasnt working and the bathroom has a transparent wall that makes the room very bright when in use.”

“The staff definitely makes or breaks a Hotel! Our experience was simply excellent thanks to Veronica and Angela who made our stay a very pleasant one. It is said that membership has it privileges, so I recommend you join the Catalonia chain member. Once you stay a couple of times, you earn points which allow you to get discounts and upgrades. We got an upgrade and the room was very comfortable, but of course, Veronica made it extra special. Breakfast offered a good assortment of hot and cold dishes for the price. Its location is also very convenient to main attractions. Overall a great place to stay in!”

“This Hotel is FANTASTIC, perfectly positioned on the front facing the Port, close to the Metro and right over the road from the Gothic Quarter. In fact most places are easily accessible from this Hotel. On arrival we were welcomed by friendly reception staff who stored our luggage until check in time as we arrived slightly early. When we arrived back at 3pm, our room was ready and our luggage was waiting for us, we were also welcomed with a free glass of sparkling wine, which we took to our room. The room was Beautiful, plenty of space and very clean, comfortable and well lit. We had complimentary bottled water and coffee in the room each day. There is also a mini bar and fridge in the room. The Bathroom was very very clean with a gorgeous rainfall shower which was really spacious. Nice big Bath towels and beautiful Rituals toiletries. Breakfast was absolutely lovely, plenty of choice of hot and cold drinks, Hot food, fruit, cheeses and breads as well as some beautiful cakes. Staff in the restaurant could not do enough for you, their service was second to none. Thank you to them. There is a great rooftop terrace with fabulous views of the Port area. I do not know why this hotel is not a 5*. Thank you for the wonderful service at your fantastic Hotel. We loved it. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Barcelona.”

“We had such a great short vacation here. The hotel staff was amazing, polite, kind and friendly. Well... Except for the woman who is working in reception Sylvia. I have been working in the hospitality industry myself and this kind of attitude from her can't be accepted. She was annoyed by every request we had. We are not nasty people and will NOT accept this attitude from anybody. 😮‍💨Now let's continue with something positive - the ladies from the restaurant are so kind, friendly and helpful. Ana, Brenda and Maria, every morning and evening just by meeting them smile come into our faces! Med Playa Hotel must be proud to have employees like these ladies. Would like the management to say something nice to them, because you don't realize how much good words mean to someone, let's be kind to each other. “This is more like a 3 star hotel. Big cons: no AC in the rooms, we had the afternoon sun and it overheated. Breakfast was quite poor for that price, bad coffee, machine-made juice and no olives. A bit far from center and shopping. Building is old. Pros: amazing sea view, nice customer service. There are a handful of nice restaurants with in 100m and very nice beach. Overall we were okay but the place needs improvements.”

“Whilst the rooms were more than adequate for a golf stay, the food and service throughout the hotel was 5 star plus. Having suffered an injury on the course, the staff from the GM down made sure l was seen by a Dr, got ice packs each day, a wheelchair and constantly made sure l had everything to help recovery. Thank you to the most kind and amazing staff. We spent one night due but had to cut the trip short due to personal circumstances but we definitely will return again when in Barcelona. Such a beautiful hotel with a lot of though in every detail and decoration. The courtyard is so beautifully and the pool is Amazing to look at and relax. You also have access to the sauna which is amazing. They have a very creative idea called the honestly bar, where you can make your own cocktails and get snacks on a self service basis and then let the reception know. It is Located in the mount Montjuic area which is so peaceful and ideal to explore that part of Barcelona. Location is ideal 5-7 min walk to parallel metro station that connects you to the rest of the city very easily. The penthouse was so beautiful and clean. Thank you from both of us and we hope to see you again.”
