“It was perfect, from the lobby decor that was very well designed and fun! With free apples at the counters and lovely flower bed decor and glass staircase. Very picture friendly :) Professional staff at the counter too. The bedroom was perfect, best nights sleep with their pillows and duvets which we always take note of. Loved the bathroom decor as well with glass window. Beautiful night view of surrounding lit up buildings, loved the atmosphere. We ordered breakfast to the bedroom in the morning (eggs Benedict and pancakes) which were amazing! Location was the best part, close to everything and we watch the hockey game close by so it was very convenient! Loved the pool and the business room that felt very welcoming and prepared.”

“A wonderful 5 star stay at Hotel Le Germain! I will be raving about this hotel for many months to come. The room was beautiful, the hotel lobby/lounge and bar has such a good vibe and the staff always went above and beyond to accommodate you with genuinely friendly service. The room was huge, beds extremely comfortable and the location was perfect for a quick weekend in Montreal. We were also there over New Years, and it was so lovely to have a place to eat, drink and enjoy a coffee while the whole city was closed for the holiday.”

“Hotel was nice. 3 blocks from the parliament. Breakfast buffet is definitely not worth it. $21pp and it's a small step up from a Continental breakfast. I had to ask the front desk 3 times to fix my shower valve. You could only have it either extremely hot or cold. No in-between because the handle was so heavy that if you had it horizontal it would fall because of the weight. I thought they fixed the problem the final time until I went to turn the shower on and the handle totally fell off hitting the floor.”

“My family and I stayed here in early December. The staff was very polite and responded to service requests quickly. When they were in our room cleaning they were polite, gracious and really hustled. They were super accommodating. We were equally impressed with the concierge staff, who were attentive and welcoming. They were prepared for our questions and eager to get answers for the ones we didn't have answers to. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. We attended an event at BC Place which was within a 5 minute walk so the location was perfect. There were also lots of restaurants, coffee shops and shopping all within walking distance. We had a great stay at the Hilton and will definitely go back.”

“Service was FANTASTIC! And the hotel is well located. The only complaint I have is that they promise spectacular views, and the pictures on the website aren't representative of the view we had. I was in a suite, so I kind of expected the same view we saw on the website, but it was nowhere near that beautiful. Other than the view being a little underwhelming, the rest of my experience was good. The staff is very friendly, the service at the valet parking was very good and the hotel is well located and within walking distance of many local attractions!”

“Our experience here was outstanding. Comfortable and well-appointed rooms, friendly and very helpful staff and outstanding food in both the restaurant and bistro. And the chef is to be commended; the food was so tasty with excellent flavors and presentation. We recommend the fixed price menu. And for something more casual, we went to the bistro after a (very) long day of hiking. We had excellent burgers and enjoyed relaxing in that space. All in all, a great place to stay in a beautiful location. Most highly recommended.”

“My family and I did not have a good experience at this hotel. When we checked in I specifically asked front desk if our vehicle would be in a safe secure location and they said yes. This was not the case, we woke up and looked out our window and saw hotel workers taping up our back passenger window. My parents immediately went down to lobby to find out what was going on. Someone had smashed it in so effectively they lied straight to my face about our vehicle being protected. They did refund the room and parking fee but by the time we were done making a police report and talking to our insurance we went to go get breakfast and they said they couldn’t give us anything at all to eat. Terrible customer service. We now have a week long vacation and a drive back to Ontario in front of us without a back passenger window and it is not warm out. Happy holidays! Adding onto the extra letters in a sentence. Hotel staff was rude and had no clue what was going on , could have asked them the most generic question and they still would have have dithers while new world. This hotel is literally trash do not stay here.”

“We were really looking forward to this stay. However, upon entering our room, we noticed that the beds did not seem to be made well but didn’t think much of it. After just dropping off our luggage, we ventured out into town for dinner etc. Upon returning, my niece being in the washroom noticed that the towels on the rack had something on them. Upon closer inspection it turned out that all the towels on the rack were filthy & stained with things I don’t really want to detail. We went to the counter & the lovely lady at the front desk did try & address the issue. She mentioned that they were having issues with some cleaning employees. Upon reaching out to management, she offered a replacement room. Instead of a 2 bed room, we were given a studio with one king bed & a sofa bed. This was fine but there were absolutely no linens or pillows for the sofa bed. However, the friendly attendant did her best to provide & we managed for the night. We also attempted to have drinks & a bite at the Bistro in the hotel however we changed our minds when clearly the 6 waitresses that were there preferred to ignore us and just continue to chat amongst themselves the entire 20 minutes of us waiting at the table. The worst thing was that we were the only clients in the bistro at the time. This hotel has so much potential. Although being quite dated and in need of some serious TLC & renovations, it is beautiful located & possesses a castle like look & feel. I truly hope they address the issues.”

“Although the location is not too far from Old Quebec City, the neighborhood is full of homeless people and random strangers who will make you feel very uncomfortable when walking back to the hotel at night. Check-in time is 4 pm, which is very unusual. The experience is nowhere close to a hotel experience; it's definitely a hostel experience. The building doors are locked, and you need to ring and ask them to let you in if it's before your check-in time. You will be in a very hot and uncomfortable area called the "lobby" with no washrooms, only a bench. There's no greeting, and the staff are very unfriendly. Reception is only open between 10 am and midnight. The hotel room was very hot as the AC was not working properly. We asked the staff to check it, and they admitted that the room is hot, but all we heard was that this is the coolest temperature that the AC can be set to, and there's nothing they can do. Another big surprise was the outlets! We're not sure what the problem was exactly, but when we plugged in our devices, it took them all HOURS to get charged! There was obviously something wrong with the power in the building! I cannot describe the frustration! The fridge was empty, and when we asked for some water, they said we could use tap water in the washroom! This was the first time in my life going to a hotel where I was asked to drink water from the washroom tap. The sheets were not visibly dirty but smelled really weird. We were happy we had brought our own pillowcases. There were no shelves in the bathroom to put stuff like shampoos! So you needed to put them on the floor!!”

“The service is amazing. They are very friendly and welcoming from the moment you enter. The rooms are beautifully styled and unique. I need to buy the body wash because it smells amazing! We recieved welcome drinks for us and our children on arrival and they even had little buttons for their backpacks for the kiddos to remember our trip. We got the buffet breakfast, where the kids were free. The restaurant is so beautiful and the service was very sweet. We can't wait to come again!”

“Gorgeous spot right on the water, and a six minute walk from the ferry. We went with our children and we had a lovely time swimming on the sandy beach at high tide, and exploring the vibrant sea life—starfish and crabs—at low tide. The restaurent for dinner was perfect. Just sensational! Definitely try the local BC and Vancouver island wines. We loved our ocean villa with a wood burning fireplace, grill, and bath tub on the balcony overlooking the ocean. We enjoyed the smart car rental and toured the island, including the magnificent retread cove. We enjoyed watching the ferries come and go from our balcony at night, and the changing of the tides by the hour. The management was friendly and hospitable, and we loved the Japanese gardens and koi pond! We loved every moment of this peaceful oasis and cannot wait to come back!”

“Lovely hotel. Basics, but that all you need. Restaurant right beside it was 5 star. Then there is a cafe outside of the hotel which has very healthy options, I got a smoothie in a bowl. Hotel, room was more than adequate, large wardrobe and bathroom. Very clean. Mini fridge in room. Everything was comfortable. Room did not have a comfortable chair to sit in only a desk chair and the bed. There were 2 steps down to the room from the bathroom, I didn't like that for accessibility reasons. ( I have a cane) In room coffee maker but no services in the lobby. A tea coffee or hot wat are in the lobby would have bumped up my experience . Overall great locations, easy access, rent a bicycle across the street. Friendly staff. Two thumbs up.”
