In a full week, we never saw anyone behind it. The private beach is great. No one comes to sell drinks. The area as the tables at breakfast is a mess littered with garbage. Far from anything! You need a car! Not sure if this is a very bad 4-star or a really good 3-star!”

Gabriele from the pool staff was AMAZING and made our days at the pool relaxing and fun. Breakfast is on the 4th floor with an unreal View and great food. I am gluten and dairy free and they could accommodate both. Only thing is it is on a very busy street so if you are looking for an off the beaten path type of place, not here. However it is right on the beach and the cable care is a 5 min walk. Thank to all the staff!”

“I was very pleased with my stay at the Hotel Centrale in Alcamo. The rooms were comfortable and everything was designed and arranged perfectly. The included breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The staff were excellent, especially Valeria who was so responsive and helpful. The hotel offers a convenient shuttle service to and from Palermo airport. The restaurant serves fine meals for lunch and dinner, and of course serves Bianco Alcamo wine! The hotel is located right in the historic center of the city, as implied by the name, and all of the sights are within walking distance. I will definitely stay at the Hotel Centrale again on my next visit to Alcamo and warmly recommend it to any fellow travellers.”

“RUINED HOLIDAY. Very upset for that cause I booked this hotel for my mum’s birthday through the local travel agency Avventurisole who highly recommend it as the best one in Lipari (and was charged the most). This is not at all a luxury hotel and not a 4* superior level. Room very dirty with dirty bed sheets, the cleaning I doesn’t change towels and not not bed linen, mattress very uncomfortable and like camp bed, there is no coffee machine in the room, no even boiler for tea, no amenities (not even bathrobe, slipper, body cream). Staff is very unpleasant and not friendly. Food very poor and bad quality, horrible breakfast with all not fresh food (even the fruits not fresh). We had also mentioned in advance to the agency that we had food requirements (vegan and gluten free), and the hotel was not able to serve us a proper meal. We complained a lot with the agency but they didn’t care, indeed with an aggressive and unprofessional behavior the agency said it was the hotel fault and that we are “complaining guests”. The hotel recognized us a refund, however the agency didn’t want to apologize or worry about any assistance, the agency also gave us troubles delaying to transfer to us the refund, again accusing that was fault of the hotel and we are “bad clients”. Definitely I don’t advise to book this hotel if you are expecting luxury standards, and for sure not through the agency Avventurisole, god knows which deals they must have to get so upset for a worthy complaint.”

“This hotel deserves a negative rating. The stench as soon as we walked in the room should have sent me running, but we are stuck here for a night with a tour group. Severe black mold problem in the bathroom. I don’t think anyone has even attempted to clean it as there is literally black fuzzy mold all over the shower. Peeling wallpaper patch up on wall connecting to bathroom shows the mold is in the walls. No clean blankets. I hope we make it through the night without getting too sick. Trafalgar should be ashamed to bring tourists here.”

This is really special and all of our meals here were flavourful, delicious, healthy - just fantastic. The pool area is perfect for relaxing and swimming. Our room was wonderful - we slept really well in the very comfortable bed, and we appreciated the powerful shower and all the amazing soaps and products! If you want to rejuvenate in a beautiful villa with incredible food and kind people, this is your place!”

“David on reception is an absolute star. He salvaged our honeymoon after we were fleeced by another hotel. The breakfast was great with plenty of choice. There's also a tuck tuck service provided by the hotel to the local beach, where there are sun loungers and umbrellas free for hotel guests. Its a super chilled hotel. Just what is needed when enjoying the sicilian sunshine. The room rates were very reasonable. Staff were super smiley and helpful.”

“Don't be fooled by the pictures of the rooms, we booked a 'suite' for 3 people and had a small room with 3 small beds. Cleanliness needs to be reviewed. For breakfast you have a buffet with leftovers from the day before, no fresh produce. The only positive point remains the welcome of an employee who speaks French and who helped us during our stay!”

“This is the perfect location for those who want to visit both the riviera, Catania, and my Etna. Staff is very kind and will go out of their way to help you; breakfast is excellent serving both traditional foods as well as local sweet specialties of great quality. The rooms are spacious and clean with great showers and a small deck. There is a nice pool with a coffee shop and restaurant annexed. Parking can be either in the building at a fee or it can be found on the street and it is free. The amazing sea (a marine reserve) is a few steps in front of the hotel and access is free. Don’t forget to bring snorkel and fins. Catania is connected directly by bus (40 minutes to the cathedral square) or it is only 10-15 minutes away by car. Next door to the hotel is the local tourist board and a supermarket. Absolutely recommend this hotel”

“Had a very relaxing week at this hotel, pool was fabulous and loved the little beach. The animation staff were very good , and quite a few spoke good English Luisa was very good in the language. Downside away from everything shops bars etc, attempted to walk to nearest beach but turned back due to no pavements , so quite dangerous. Just a point for the hotel the balcony doors need stickers on as we walked into them twice thinking they were open . All in all we enjoyed the relaxing break, and the gala night was lovely .”
