“Terrible experience! One main reason we picked this hotel was for the air conditioning. Upon arrival at the hotel, Maurizio at the front desk barely looked up to greet us. As we stood there to check in, he left the front desk without even acknowledging our presence. Finally, we got his attention because a person in our party struck up a conversation with him in Italian. This seemed to make him a bit more friendly (even though he DID speak english!) and he checked us into our hotel apartment. After getting into our hotel apartment, we noticed the air conditioning was not functioning. This was a big problem since it was extremely hot. When we went to the front desk to speak to Maurizio, he threw a tantrum, slamming the phone and shoving it across the front desk. Maurizio's behavior was extremely unprofessional and his outburst scared my kids. He also made it extremely obvious that he did not like Americans! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if you are an American!”

“We have been coming here for years. It’s the best atmosphere with the gardens in full bloom when we were there in October 2023 The breakfast room is so spacious, food in abundance for all your needs. The whole place is spotless. Their collection of Soup Terrines is a sight to be seen. They treat us more like family than guests. Carlo and all the staff are amazing. So friendly. We will always frequent this wonderful place. “If you’re looking for a place to stay while in Perugia,I’d keep looking if I were you. The hotel is located a bit away from the city center. It wouldn’t be so bad if the hallways and rooms were well kept and if it was completely renovated/updated. Although the lobby of the hotel looks nice, looks are deceiving. I have to say that the young lady that checked me in was welcoming and kind. The elevators are quite small. And as soon as I got off the elevator to the third floor, I immediately smelled something that resembled urine. All of the carpet is dirty - both in the hallways and in the rooms - not only does it need to be vacuumed, it needs to be replaced. My room is very small. The walls and baseboards are marred. The furniture is tired. Everything in the room is tired. Everything. A deep clean, remodel and update are needed badly. It was not my choice to stay here. And here I am. I’d choose differently. Let me say the experience is underwhelming all the way around.”
