“Well what can I say? I’ve been to this hotel 4 times with my mum and it never fails to impress. The hotel itself and poolside are beautiful, the food is delicious and plentiful and the staff are truly welcoming. What more could you ask for? Everyone is lovely but a special mention and thanks to Jorge, Marta and Estefania who always go out of their way to make us feel welcome. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and can’t wait to come back! “We stayed at Hotel Tigaiga in January 2024. Overall it was a pleasant and positive experience. The location of the hotel is about a 20 minute walk up from Puerto de la Cruz downtown and is quite quiet. The service staff are very professional and friendly and always willing to help. For example, the beds were too hard for us and they put tops on them so they were softer. Our booking included breakfast and dinner. Both where standard. The breakfast was of good quality. For dinner they offer a menu (not a buffet) where you have two options for starters and two options for the main course (meat or fish) and desert. If you are a vegatarian or vegan there where no options on the official menu on any day. But we must admit that we did not ask for them. Officially there are none. Would we book this hotel again? Without the dinner option, yes. However, for some reason we did not sleep well most of the nights. Surely this was because the beds were too hard at first. But my partner slept well after they added the top.”

“Great hotel, currently staying here for our honeymoon. Staff are friendly. Guests are mainly of a more mature age and the entertainment suites them. Great base for exploring. Pool lovely and empty, can always get a sunbed, beach a short walk away. Strip of bars, restaurants and shops close by. Great place and great hotel with welcome drinks on arrival.”

“This is more like a 3 star hotel. Big cons: no AC in the rooms, we had the afternoon sun and it overheated. Breakfast was quite poor for that price, bad coffee, machine-made juice and no olives. A bit far from center and shopping. Building is old. Pros: amazing sea view, nice customer service. There are a handful of nice restaurants with in 100m and very nice beach. Overall we were okay but the place needs improvements.”

“To start off we had an amazing view over the harbour. The area is very nice and it looks like the hotel is newly renovated. The bathrooms looks new. A small fault that may as well is our fault, is that we couldn't find a do not disturb sign to hang at the door. We didn't see any other room with this as well. When the lovely cleaning staff would come, they would usually just knock on the door and open. But they do want to take good care of you. They brought us daily water and chocolate. But it lacks a little soundproofing, but in a place like this you are not supposed to stay in your room during the day anyways. Otherwise the hotel is quiet during the night and we slept well. Only one thing shocked me, was the incredibly angry bartender in the pool area. He would talk in a degrading manner towards the guests and ourselves. He talked very loudly with his colleagues instead of serving guests. You almost felt sorry for disturbing the man. In a hotel, I have actually never experienced this before. After the experience I stayed clear of the pool and bar area in fear of meeting this guy again. He would make a horrible drink and get very upset if you confronted him about this. We would get a lovely pina colada from one bartender, but when we ordered from him we got a luke warm drink that didn't resemble at all what we ordered. The pool boy delivered the drinks to us and when we asked what this was, he went to ask the bartender who just waved him off. We honestly thought that we were given beer by a mistake. For comparison I'm uploading the pictures here. One where we got a normal cocktail and the other one the stew the angry bartender gave us. So if you come for the port, book at the hotel. But if you are looking to get some good service and drinks at the pool, avoid. There is sometimes a smell at the room, but this is normal when living close to the sea / harbour.”

“We call in here to use the Cafe/Bar for a drink while out walking, usually around midday. The beer they serve is of great quality and nice and cool at a fair price. It would be nice to have a meal while visiting but there are never any menus out so I don't know if a lunchtime servis is available.”

“Gem of a hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff were amazing. We were upgraded due to it being my wife's birthday to a junior suite,balloons , wine, and chocolates were put in our room as a surprise for my wife. The breakfast was nice and a good selection to choose from. The location of the hotel is ideal,close to the beach and main strip, yet peaceful and quiet. Pool is heated and there was never a rush for a sunbed as there are plenty to choose from all day. Rooms are cleaned every day. Thank you, H10 Ocean Dunas, for making our holiday special. we would highly recommend this hotel.”

“The rooms were very nice and comfortable, not perfectly clean though. The hotel is too far from the beach. But the biggest problem is lack of organisation - one guy is a bartender and kitchen help at the same time, so basically you cannot order any drinks for most of the time; swimming pool is cleaned in the middle of the day; there was some alarm at 6am and guest didn't receive any official information what was the reason; yoga class was canceled and noone was informed; no shadow at the pool... some of the staff seem unhappy and annoyed if you have any requests. However, what's worth noticing, there were two very nice young waiters and amazing yoga practice with Andrea. Also, the food was very tasty and various. There were not many people in the hotel, which gave you privacy. Generally, our vacations were very nice, but there are some things that could be easily improved.”
