“We came for Sunday lunch. What a find this is. Service was absolutely fantastic and the staff were so kind to my nan who’s got Alzheimer’s. The market buffet is just so lovely and fresh and tasty and all the food was great. Best part Was it was peaceful finally somewhere not trying to be “family orientated” no kids running around screaming. Just a lovely setting, great service and food we can’t believe we haven’t been before. Definitely coming back soon.”

“Really lovely hotel and very well presented. Breakfast of salmon and scrambled eggs was spot on and a pizza in the evening was as good as anywhere. Room very comfortable. Only reason for not giving 5 stars was it took a while to check in (it was a Friday evening and the staff were busy, but everyone was extremely polite). Well done and thank you for a brief, but enjoyable stay.”

“We stayed at The Alexandra for a second time on our traditional winter visit to Lyme Regis and we really are very fond of this hotel! The rooms are warm and comfortable and, as it was quiet, we were delighted to be upgraded to one on the first floor overlooking the garden and sea. The place feels both stylish and homely and is really pleasant to spend time in when the weather outside is less than clement. I think they were a bit short-staffed during our visit, which meant the occasional short wait to get served at the bar and at reception, but all the staff were really friendly, efficient and helpful. We would happily recommend and return.”
