“Great hotel with helpful and friendly staff. The thermal baths are a great way to relax after a sightseeing day. The food is excellent with local dishes prepared fresh from local produce. Lots of great salads as starters. Gluten free options and other allergies well understood and catered for. Rooms clean and in good repair. Gardens are beautifully tended. Decorations around the hotel are well thought out. Clientele is mainly Italian and Germanic. Sandy private beach. Walk to Forio port is 1.7km (25 minutes). Village of Forio has a pedestrian area with a good choice of restaurants and shops.”

“Great location for walking in and out of Sorrento, the rooms are spacious, modern and stylish. The food was great and the staff were really attentive, breakfast is a buffet style so you can fill up for the day. The pool is great and has plenty of sun loungers and it’s private. The hotel is full of great art and is was one of my favourites on our trip, oh almost forgot they have a spa and wellness centre downstairs with massages etc.”

We booked it because the rate was good and the hotel was in the out skirts of the town. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the staff made sure we had an great stay at the hotel. “Review for people traveling with babies. This was the best hotel on our vacation. It had a nice and clean baby play pen. Everyone was always very friendly, especially in the breakfast area. They had a very good breakfast with many things to choose from. Cappuccinos were very good! It had a very beautiful view. Sorrento was a cute town and definitely recommended!”

“I have been at Hotel Continental in mid-August with my 6 yo son. Overall I have been very satisfied of my stay. The hotel is 10 min away from the city centre, there a free shuttle (Zi zi) which goes there, every 30 min. Around the hotel, there is a number of shops and restaurants. The seaside is also 10 min away by car or bus. The hotel has a number of swimming pools(4?), a very well managed spa, a beauty centre, a snack bar and a restaurant. Breakfast was super generous, but maybe I'd provide more gluten free and lactose free options. We also had lunch at the snack bar and ate very well. Although, being a snack bar, I expected an informal service and lower prices. But it's quite a formal restaurant, with plates being presented with the cloche and very elegant waiters, thus high prices. A big thanks to the spa staff for their kindness and organization. I was overall happy about this hotel, except for three aspects:1) the chairs around the swimming pools were always kept busy with towels since early in the morning;so I asked the staff at the swimming pool how to get a chair and he told me I should do as anyone else, occupying chairs with a towel early in the morning, which for me it's not an acceptable solution;2) when I did the check out, there was a mistake in the price and number of spa treatments. The staff at the reception asked me to go down to the spa and clarify this directly with the SPA as it was outside the hotel. I asked the reception to call the spa and clarify the mistake with them and they refused. I found this attitude unprofessional as they asked a client, me, to resolve a mistake that the hotel made; 3) the room was fine but not very well cleaned. When we checked in, I found hair everywhere in the room, on the floor, in the toilet, not acceptable for a 4 star hotel. Overall a good experience, with some points to improve. I wouldn't suggest this hotel for kids/families,as kids cannot access thermal swimming pools and the hotel is not by the sea.”

“Great staff. It was perfect cozy place to stay in heart of positano. Hotel and restaurant staff were amazing and helpful. Room was clean. Breakfast was alright and did not live up to 4 star hotel standards. So definitely room for improvements. For parking, we recommend hotel to charge instead of we pay to parking lot people because we booked room with parking added and we thought charges will be paid directly to hotel instead we had to go to parking lot to pay and it's a hassle.”

“We had a wonderful stay at the Querce. Its in a great location to walk into Ischia or next to a bus stop for travel all over the island. The staff are all so professional, polite and helpful. Most notably Shabir in the restaurant, Vassili and Joe on reception and Concelia the lovely massage therapist. It has its own beach platform, great pools and indoor spa area. We stayed bed and breakfast and there is a lovely selection of hot, cold food and pastries in their restaurant with the most wonderful views across the bay to Vesuvius and Procida. The rooms are kept wonderfully clean and serviced by the lovely maid staff. We have stayed at the Mare next door, but this experience surpassed that. Highly recommend and we would return when we next visit Ischia.”

“stayed week beg 13th oct 23 not one normally for posting reviews , but ! upon arrival lots of stairs to carry suitcases up ( no help ) very tired looking entrance with broken tiles and over grown gardens,, the pool is at the front ( freezing and just beside dual carriage way ( not relaxing very noisy) food is bland , head waiter very abrasive man .. and was rude to any complaints he received ( we did not complain as it can just dampen holiday) but often our hot food was cold & tasteless . rooms were big & clean on a positive note and balcony was huge .. reception staff lovely but looked very tired. walk into sorrento not good , especially coming home in dark . Would not recommend this hotel, family run and they just not interested in there guests.. 2 stars”

“They charge 20€ per day for their own parking. 10€ euros per day for air conditioning, even though you can barely breathe in their small rooms. They charge extra 7€ euros per day for using their warm fridge, and 5€ euros each time for an iron or hairdryer. Additionally, they demand a fee of 10€ euros per hour for two in pool access!! It's astonishing how many necessary expenses are associated with this hotel. On top of that, there's a 1,5€ euro fee per day for having a car and driving on the streets, payable upon arrival at the hotel, a combined fee of 13€. Their breakfast buffet offers a limited selection of 2 types of cold cuts and cheese, cakes. Water, juice, and coffee from a machine. There's a lot of noise from neighbors talking, children next door, and noise from above due to poor isolation. The street noise, with honking cars and motorcycles, is also quite bothersome. They even charge 1€ for every cup of ice cubes, despite their refrigerators being warm. Think twice before booking and consider reading other reviews that have had similar experiences. It seems like the owner responds to all reviews and strongly defends the hotel, so do your research before booking. The only positive aspect of the hotel was the friendly owner, and the receptionists, especially their cleaning staff, who were incredibly friendly and sweet. That's a given since everything comes with its price at checkout!”

“Bed quilt with large stains (blood?). Floor lamp and desk lamp did not work. Waiter at in-house restaurant stunk like cigarettes/nicotine while taking orders and carrying food to the tables. Credit card transactions are automatically converted from euros into US$, at their own arbitrary rate, plus 3.36% mark up, without any notice whatsoever. When questioned, the person at the reception who ran the transaction, G______i, had the audacity to state “you are making a big deal for just a few extra euros”. I guess he is missing the concept of professionalism, hospitality, transparency, and honesty.”

“Punta Regina is a gem! We visited on our honeymoon and had a perfect experience. The staff is very welcoming and helpful, especially Francesca and Mario. They went above and beyond to make our stay special. The rooms are large and spacious. We were lucky enough to get the room with the patio hot tub, which was lovely. The breakfast is delicious and the views from the rooftop pool are stunning. Very close to all the restaurants and shops in Positano. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Positano!”

“Such wonderful stay at The Grand hotel Cesare Augusto. Just steps away room Tasso Square. Nice clean rooms, friendly staff. They offer a wonderful breakfast from 7 to 10. Our tour group was suppose to stay here. But ended up changing hotels. As I came out a few days prior to the hotel I ended up staying here. I am glad I did.”

“This is a great place to stay. Not too far from the port, the castle and many shops. Staff are good but not used to saying hello every time you go out in the morning. Breakfast is really good and filling. Staff were a little disoriented by a request for a vegetarian meal, but chef came up trumps later on. Gala dinner is fun, but - beware - the truly awful table wine is not complimentary (18 euros for a 'vintage' less than a year old) and other charges (water with dinner and daily tourist tax) do pop up on your bill. Staff can appear a little indifferent, turning away subconsciously, when you ask questions. Great pool and spa. Definitely going back...”

“On first impression, the hotel looks great. I understand they are undergoing some renovations but I didn't appreciate workers literally on my door at 08:10 every morning. The room had some questionable stains on the headboard of the bed, burn marks above the emergency light and many other smaller things that suggest management don't care. My final night (of 5), I was awoken at 1 am by a large group checking into multiple rooms, slamming doors, shouting down the corridor etc. I called reception who had already recieved complaints but it went on for a further 30 mins. Advertised WIFI only works in the lobby.”
