“THIS IS NOT a 5-STAR HOTEL. It’s a 3-star at the very best. Front desk staff were extremely arrogant and unpleasant. The entrance is about 5 or 6 steps up the street level. When we checked in, there were two doormen standing there with their hands behind their backs. No smiles. No greetings. Didn’t bother to help us up the steps. We had to lift our bags ourselves. When I inquired with the woman at the front desk, she sneered and said we had to pay extra to get help. Which would have been ok if that’s how it works. But her manner and hand gesture were condescending. What audacity! The room is dated and spartan. Carpet is stained. Bathtub is clogged and the shower door leaks. Dinner was very ordinary, nothing to write home about. I advised our tour operator never to use this hotel again.”
