“A lovely hotel with well appointed rooms. These include a big TV, superb shower, big comfy bed, excellent aircon, and nice mood lighting. The restaurant is superb and not overly expensive with good portions sizes of lovely food. I was here for 6 weeks or so with work so you get to see good and bad.... there's no bad. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful (look out for Saadia - the queen of the breakfast serving!👸🏻🥰) (and Yusuf the friendly restaurant managerwith a warm ready smile)(and Mehmet who is always happy and ready to help out) Also spare a thought for the cleaners as when you're somewhere that long you get to meet them too and the unseen house staff are also hardworking friendly people with ready smiles. This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in as yet ❤️❤️❤️ PS There are a couple of small supermarkets two minutes walk down the road. The most EXCELLENT Turkish pizza and kebab restaurant you MUST try down beside BIMs. Oh and town is a good 15-20 mins walk away but well worth it.”

“As someone who has stayed at many Marriotts including in Europe and America (I am a Platinum Member and will be Titanium in two more nights), I almost thought this hotel had left the Marriott group during check-in. The person handling the check-in greeted us in a very cold and unsmiling manner. I had booked a room with two beds and asked again to confirm during check-in, to which he confirmed it was a room with two beds. However, when we got to the room, it turned out to be a single bed room. I had to return to reception, where despite claiming the hotel was fully booked and there were no accommodations in the other building to avoid possibly upgrading our room, he suddenly mentioned that I could stay in block B and that others were staying there as well, once the room he gave us didn't have two beds. After an unnecessary waste of time, I asked for an extra bed instead of changing rooms, but for the first time as a Platinum member, I was downgraded, not upgraded, at a Marriott. Upon entering our room, we noticed the balcony door was broken. The maintenance service came and fixed the issue. They left the tip of the drill in a chair in our room, which almost injured my daughter; it could have caused a bad injury. Aside from these two incidents, generally, the staff, (except the first person at the reception during check-in), were good and friendly. The location of the hotel and the surrounding landscaping are nice, it's a clean hotel. The meals we ordered from room service were quite ordinary for a luxury hotel. The internet connection was also the worst I've experienced in any hotel I've stayed in so far.”

“Very nice hotel, very well designed room, quite new, one of the best rooms I have stayed in. But the hotel remains a bit of a contradiction. While they try to save electricity by dimming some main corridors used by the guests, trying to separate wastes, turning off some equipment in the gyms when not in use, they are still using plastic bottles. The bed was comfy and the views - amazing. The views of the sea and the balcony were priceless. Service was - I would say not up to Hyatt standards. They took a while to come back and only act upon after complaints are received. Having said that - they do act quick after complaints. The restaurant breakfast buffet was amazing, the spread very good and the food quality was really spectacular. The staff in the resto was really friendly, prompt and attentive - and they should be teaching the hotel staff how to do excellent service. I would come back to this hotel again, I hope they upgrade their service. They do have a fabulously designed hotel.”

“- Big and comfortable bed, and spacious rooms. However, the room did have a few minor details that had to be completed for it to be considered a “finished” room (aka missing piece of baseboard and paint job) ; - Very friendly and helpful staff. We had enlightening conversations with Nil. She taught us useful Turkish expressions, gave us a ton of tips and introduced us to an area nearby with wonderful restaurants. We discovered the pancake place Pan-Ku, which is a must ;-) - The area can get a bit noisy seeing as our room’s window was facing the busy street. The advantage was that you can have a drink + dinner everywhere at walking distance. And Alsancak is really a wonderful area. Thanks for the wonderful stay, we absolutely fell in love with Izmir!”
