“Second time here and the natural beauty is enchanting. It's tucked away and you feel like you have found a real special place when you walk under the riptide curls”

Ammonite Falls
4.7
( 8 reviews )

Nanaimo, BC V9T 6H1, Canada

“A very beautiful forest with a landscape mixed with towering trees and then you just enter lush green moss covered old growths that make you feel like your in a rainforest. Then keep walking down the paths and you enter a large ravine with well built and maintained staircases with ropes to guide you down the stairs to the creek below and then back up again until you reach the path that leads you to the falls and another stair case down and viewing platform and access to the bottom of the falls. Where swimming is probably very popular from a sweaty hike (summer season). Bring water and snacks but keep the litter and dispose of it in the garbage not the forest! The clear cut / regrowth zones are quite a sight to see. But I hope I come back and see the saplings growing in the years to come.”

Arrowsmith Golf & Micky J's Bar & Grill

2250 Fowler Rd, Qualicum Beach, BC V9K 2A5, Canada

“Beautiful little golf course. Only a par 61 but a nice layout and a good challenge. Worth a game and has a beautiful patio for after round drink and bite to eat.”

Fairwinds Golf Club
4.4
( 16 reviews )
Open until 07:30 PM

3730 Fairwinds Dr, Nanoose Bay, BC V9P 9J6, Canada

“Not what I expected. We had the first tee time and we go check in and the guy up front wasn't thrilled to be there and when I told him we've never played here before and asked where the 1st tee was he looked at me like I was speaking Latin. Weird way to start off. The course itself was maybe a 4 out of 10 condition wise. Nothing was mowed greens included. At least the had 1 worker cutting new cups. The course has potential and was in a pretty area just needs some love. There are a few weird holes that are extremely short and felt squeezed in. Then you get to a par 3 that's 240 yards kind of a weird layout. Other than that we didn't really see anyone else on the course and we played 18 in about 3 hours. Not in my top 5 on vanvouver Island”

Horne Lake Regional Park
4.2
( 8 reviews )

3890, Horne Lake Caves Rd, Qualicum Beach, BC, Canada

“Super peaceful and beautiful place to visit. The lake is pristine. The campground seems a very nice one. It is a dry campground which means other than only one faucet in front of the office/store there is no access to water whatsoever. There are only pit toilets available. Kayak and canoe rentals are available. The staff are friendly.”
