“Was a nice hiking spot along the lake and to see the lighthouse. Wish I would have been open to drive into. We wanted to hike then have lunch and swim on the beach.”

Lakeside Beach

4081 Lakeshore Blvd, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150, United States

“O.M.G.... is all I can say! No matter the time of the year you decide to visit I'm sure your breath will be taken away! Free access to it all, parking, beach entrance. There is a park with swings and a volleyball net for the children as well as paddle boat rentals. A definite must-see even if your visiting alone.”

Fallen Leaf Lake
4.8
( 16 reviews )
Closed until 09:00 AM

South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150, United States

“Visited Fallen Leaf Lake during our Lake Tahoe trip, and it's a gem at 6377 ft above sea level. The one-way road, though underdeveloped, leads to breathtaking views. The Fallen Leaf Lake Store served as a perfect pit stop. The parking lot and marina offered easy access to the mesmerizing blue lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains. For water enthusiasts, renting a paddleboat, kayak, or stand-up paddleboard is a must—nothing beats the experience of being on the pristine waters. Fishing is also an option for angling enthusiasts. The place offers hiking trails, a bonus for nature lovers. Do note that during winter, the roads are closed, so plan accordingly. Overall, Fallen Leaf Lake is a tranquil escape with stunning scenery and various activities. A true gem in the Lake Tahoe region, especially if you appreciate serenity and picturesque landscapes.”

Lake Tahoe Golf Course
4.4
( 8 reviews )

2500 Emerald Bay Rd, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150, United States

“I’ve played Lake Tahoe Golf Course twice this year. Once in late June and this weekend (Oct 22). I was very pleased initially when I play in June. Weather held up nicely for a Sunday and pace of play was good overall. Staff was friendly and the service was good. The golf course itself is challenging even for those with handicap <15 with great views and modest greens and fairways. The price to play on weekends is reasonable for the quality. However this is a warning for those who hope to come to this golf course for an event or with a group larger than 4. I came here for a birthday celebration over the weekend, and we came with high hopes and excitement but by the end of the round, we were depleted and felt disrespected. We had a group of 6 guys and we had bought the tee times back to back. We also had called the pro shop several times to confirm we could all play together. They said we could over the phone and initially the starter said it was fine. By hole 2, the “ambassador” was hovering over us and telling us to speed up. By hole 3, he was asking us to let a group go ahead of us. Not a huge deal as we were a tad slower than rec pace of play, but then the ambassador kept coming up to us and pressuring us to hurry up which ruined the mood and made us feel rushed when we were maintained pace of play as we had separated into two groups. By hole 12, he made our twosome wait behind 2 more groups causing them to finish 20-30 minutes later than expected. And what was even worse was that the ambassador even yelled at our friends accusing us for playing together as a 6-some and threatening to kick us out. To specify, by hole 3, we were not playing as a 6-some so it made no sense that at hole 12, my friends were being yelled at and threatened to be kicked out yet again. This is not a prestigious country club nor even one of the best public courses I’ve played in NorCal / Tahoe region. I was astonished at the stark difference in hospitality and service I received from the two times I’ve played here. We came to Tahoe full of excitement and were giddy to play. Leaving Tahoe, we feel disappointed and disheartened. No golf course should make their customers who are driving over 4 hours feel this way! Just be warned if you plan to come with a bigger group.”

Tahoe Keys Marina
4.2
( 8 reviews )

2435 Venice Dr E, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150, United States

“The best customer service on the lake. We’ve been locals for 50 years and never had a bad experience at this marina. Launching, docking and paying are all a wonderful experience. Heather, Jessica and Lizette are the best in the business. Suntex has done an excellent job by picking these employees to provide 5 star service no matter what chaos is going on. 4th of July madness. Wow! From our family to yours thank you for what you do in our community. 50 years living in tahoe and these guys are awesome!”
