Stewart Creek Park
4.6
( 8 reviews )

3700 Sparks Rd, The Colony, TX 75056, United States

“A perfect place to watch the sunset of any fine day. This place is beautiful with barbecue sets and multiple roof covered seating areas. The entry charge for a car is 10$ and the park closes at 7:30 PM in winters. There is a small bridge where one can walk comfortably. This is one of the less known places in Dallas and definitely a must visit.”

“Pilot Knoll is one of my favorite camping spots. All the sites are clean, and you can see the lake. The staff has ALWAYS been helpful and nice. Highly recommend if you can grab a spot. Easy access to the lake from most campsites.”

Planet Fitness

806 W University Dr, Denton, TX 76201, United States

“The staff is very engaging, professional and interested in helping you with your goals. The trainer who helped me was very good and answered all my questions. She got me started on a good routine. The facility itself is clean and well ordered and easy to utilize with more than enough machines for larger crowds. Lots of parking, and great hours of operation. I am highly satisfied with this facility.”

“Took my kids and grand children there for a family night. Bowled and had food. Had a blast and Avery was our server and was so professional. She was so slammed and still took so good of us and made sure we were always happy and the food and drinks were great. We are so glad you hired her on your team. She gets 5+ ⭐️.”

“Great place to begin recreational sports! We have been going here for all our sports activities for the last 2 years, and I'm happy to say we are very pleased with our experiences so far. For the First year, we signed up or daughters (agrees 5 & 7) to their all-sports summer camps, and the girls loved it! The following year, we enrolled our eldest into the volleyball rec league, and it has also been a great experience. The kids received a t-shirt with the team registration, as well as one practice hour each week, in addition to the weekly games. Such a great value! The volleyball skills sessions are a bit over-priced at four 1-hour sessions for $140 (yikes!), and my daughter told me the instructors do not differentiate the skills instruction based on skill level; instead they have everyone doing the same drill. There may be a method to the madness, but needless to say, she's bored and doesn't want to return for the second set of skills sessions. Otherwise, we have loved coming here. The facilities are discuss and clean, and despite a lot of different games/leagues happening at once, it always seems like ours is the only game being played (aside from the occasional stray ball that comes into our court). Would definitely recommend for families new to sports!”

“This place is awesome! The staff here are all VERY good and excited to do what they do. They generate a place that people want to come back over and over. I’m there almost every Sunday. It’s a blast!”

Coyote Ridge Golf Club

1640 W Hebron Pkwy, Carrollton, TX 75010, United States

“8/6/2023: First time playing here and it didn’t disappoint. Very challenging golf course and the high temps didn’t help much. Tee boxes: 8/10 Sand Bunkers: 4/10( some sand bunkers are being repaired so if you land in them you have to take the ball out. The ones that have sand were playing ok) Greens: 9/10 Fairways: 9/10 Cost: 7/10( a bit high, but they take care of the golf course) Driving range: 10/10”

Southwest Athletic Center

Open until 10:00 PM

2800 N Interstate 35E, Carrollton, TX 75007, United States

“We’ve attended a lot of volleyball tournaments and SWAC is one of the better venues. It has a lot of paved parking, and the overflow is on the grass/dirt areas (not a problem is you have a 4 wheel vehicle.) The courts are organized in a way that works well — you don’t have stray balls coming into the court during the games due to screens in between courts. They put up bleacher seating during the tournaments mid-court, and they also have a loft area where you can watch the games from the second story. You are also allowed to bring your own chairs into the facility. They offer lots of different food options. Would be great if they had a few healthier options, but it’s better than most facilities. And good news—the bathrooms are clean.”

Frisco Lakes Golf Club

7170 Anthem Dr, Frisco, TX 75036, United States

“Had an opportunity to stop by and visit Frisco lakes golf course and eat at its remodeled restaurant inside the Del Webb community. We live in a Del Webb community in Georgetown, TX, Sun City. So we were curious, to say the least. The restaurant was just reopened after a well worth it 9 mos renovation, modern design, large bar and light and airy interior. We only had appetizers fried pickles and calamari , both delicious. Reed, if I am not mistaken, served us as we sat at the bar. He had not been with them long, said as a kid his dad did work for Del Webb. Views of the course are amazing, and it has looks to be more than one island green.”

Lone Star Kartpark

Open until 10:00 PM

3545 Lone Star Cir, Fort Worth, TX 76177, United States

“What a blast! I have taken my kids here and taken my customers. What a fun and different experience! Emma, Steven and Ethan were all great. They gave us tips on how to get a better lap time and the intro/safety video was very helpful. Karts were fast and the track was challenging. I really enjoyed seeing the lap times on the TVs. I cannot wait to go back. I saw the staff take a break to help someone who lost their keys find them. Oh, they have lockers to put your stuff in so you don't lose it on the track.”
