“We did 5.25 miles in 2 hours and 15 minutes. A great trail, well maintained and wide but could be marked better. Lots of dog walkers. We saw two deer about 30' from us. We also saw a red squirrel, a chipmunk and a snake swimming in the pond. It was a nice breezy day with no bugs. Make sure to see the tree lined road, gardens, fountain and pet cemetery. Watch out for horse poop and dog poop bags. A nice view of the Merrimack River on top of the hill. The only downside is $5 to park for MA residents and $20 for out of state residents, however there are bathrooms in the parking area.”

“From pool to ocean this place has it all!!! Next time I go, I’m definitely gonna be one of those ones on the paddleboard :-) Me and one of my friend went for a walk around the grounds. If you go around a couple of times, you get a great workout in will be in cool with that ocean breeze.”

“I am a 12 year old kid and I first came here with soccer friends to celebrate that we won the soccer tournament and so I went here and I had I very fun experience and then I went a second time with my mom and dad and it was so fun because I fell a lot of times and know I know how to skate. It is a lot of fun I am going to go again.”

“We came here on Sunday afternoon, about 4pm, and the beach was still full, but not unreasonable. The beach was clean, the water was clean, and the beach had benches and tables around for anyone to use. We did not pay a fee to park, but it may been a timing/day of the week reason, but it was great to see. There was a snack bar there as well that was closed, but it may be seasonal. The views were great, and it was an easy place to find in a nice area. We enjoyed it and would love to go back.”

“very knowledgeable and friendly folks that work here. Excellent supplies for fishing the area and not expensive. I brought a friend along one day who needed equipment as he had not surf cast before and they had him up and running with great advice, pole and a spooled reel in a matter of minutes once he decided on what to get. Also very nice with advice about where the fish are biting and what bait has been working. Gave us directions to a spot we hadn't been before and we had a great day. can you tell I had a good experience here yet :). I would highly recommend.”

“Its a beaultiful sunflower farm. September is the best time to visit this farm as it will be in full bloom. Wonderful picturesque experience. The only problem is that it will be too crowded on weekends and you might not see any empty space to click pictures. Still we managed somehow and got some nice pictures. Parking costs 10$ per car. Plenty of parking available as its a big farm. See you again in sept 2023.”

“Signed up for their free activities - Wapack Blueberry Hike on August 9, 2023 and Hellcat Birding Tour on August 12, 2023. The staff were super friendly. They are enthusiastic about the nature and wildlife. Wapack is in another area, where the hike is moderate to difficult, and we picked wild blueberries on the way to the top. The Parker River Refuge is a great place to visit. Many people come here to watch and photograph birds. The boardwalks are beautiful. There are seven parking lots, and Parking Lot 1 is where the headquarters is. Many people come to Parking Lot 1 to swim on the beach. There is another beach at Parking Lot 7, but parking spots are very limited and I was not able to park. It was fine for me for I did not plan to swim. There is a lot to see in the whole refuge and it is really a great place to visit.”

“The parking is abysmal. I bring a child to lacrosse practice weekly here unfortunately and the parking lot is completely full, the two other adjacent parking lots are also full. I don’t understand how they regularly have events with hundreds of people, not enough parking, and then still have regular practices with young children going on at the same time. People have to walk up from the other lots where there is ice and no sidewalk, it’s extremely dangerous and accidents waiting to happen. The facility is nice but the parking situation is unsafe.”
