“Today was my first time at this park, and it did not disappoint. Initially, the park doesn't seem like much, but after the first few feet, you get a fork in the path; I chose to go right. Instantly I am bombarded with Florida's infamous beauty. To each side of me, there are cabbage palms, grand oaks, and canopy after canopy of green waterfalls as I walk down the paved path. As I'm walking, I come across a lake. Once I approach the lake, I can see little heads bobbing from the water; they are turtles, they gollow me as a cross a bridge. Next, I come across different species of ducks, a few bunnies, and squirrels, of course. An hour later, my guy and I call it a day. This park is among the most active with people and animals. What a beautiful way to end a beautiful day. BONUS: There is a dog park along the trail!”

“Great relaxing, fishing overall scenic spot. There's a small park for the kids to play, spots under the bridge to stay cool. The walking/fishing pier. A small shop with food, drinks, beer, live and frozen bait, and a dock if you pull up by boat. There's also clean bathrooms. Can't go wrong here!”

“Our kids love coming to the North Port Aquatic center. We enrolled our 2 girls in the swimming lessons and they have done so well with the lifeguards who teach the classes. We really loved Mr. Donovan and hope to see him again soon. We do enjoy the water park area as well for the kids and have stayed for 4 hours before. It’s hard sometimes to stay long because the shade options there are limited unless you get a table under the tent section or privately rent a shaded spot with them. Overall, it’s a nice aquatic center and we will continue to come back.”

“We hiked to the Pine Straw campsite and back which was a little over 5 miles. There are many other trails to walk and a river to fish at. The trails are well kept, the forest is beautiful, and we saw a lot of wildlife and wildlife sign in …”

“Was included in a luncheon that was held at the Venice Yaght Club. What a fine establishment to hold a gathering. The views are spectacular. The service was excellent. The staff were efficient, thorough, and attentive. The food was very good as well. We did a small buffet. 12-12-23, again invited to a company luncheon under the Tiki Hut. Unfortunately it was a little nippy out, but the 14 of us enjoyed a lavish lunch with many appetizers and then an entrée. We also took part in a gift exchange. Fun was had by all”

“The staff is rude and spreads the wrong USEF rule info. The stalls are pricey, old and small. There is absolutely no cell service but there are 3 or 4 Wifi networks which they refuse you access. If you're a working professional don't expect to be able to work remotely from here which is a huge inconvenience and will probably be the main reason I don't come back. Every other horseshow has free wifi throughout. For the price you're better off going to WEC in Ocala. Same price, Much better facility and friendlier staff.”

“I typically live in Richmond Virginia, however, a couple times a year I come to visit my grandparents in Englewood. I care deeply about my health and workout 6 days a week at home, so when I visit I have to come to the ymca in englewood. For the past 3 years I’ve be going in the morning to the y and every time have a bad encounter with the worker at the front desk by the name of Darlene. She’s an older lady and never has anything nice to say, she’s always in a bad mood and frequently makes rude snarky comments. I am not the only person who has had encounters such as these, my brothers, sister, and mom all have issues with this lady. She’s very unprofessional and not someone I would want greeting my costumers every morning. Very sad to see countless mornings ruined just as mine have been by someone who clearly doesn’t deserve her position.”

“Nice layout with some elevation changes unlike most of S Florida. Pace of play (4:57) turned the round into a grind - waiting 10-20 minutes on every shot. Hard to get into a rhythm. Tip: avoid playing Marsh late in the day. The last few holes play straight into the sun and you will have difficulty seeing your drives.”
