Rancho Guadalupe Dunes Preserve

6999 W Main St, Guadalupe, CA 93434, United States

“I've gone here on quite a few occasions for a nice, relaxing, quiet beach walk. It doesn't get very crowded so you can walk for a really long time and only come across one or two people. There's not much here and a lot of wide open space so I imagine it would be a great place to bring dogs. It is pretty far out of the way so I don't know that a ton of people come out here. I imagine it would be a great place to view the sunset.”

“Love this hidden gem. I had never heard of this spot before making reservations. I wasn't sure what to expect. So peaceful and beautiful. The beach is small, but you owe it to yourself to walk south on a low tide. You will be the only footprints for over 2 miles. The cliffs the cliffs are so cool to behold. The campground is small, but well run. Everyone was very friendly and really quiet at night. I can't wait to go back again. The restrooms and showers are well maintained and cleaned by a really hard working staff. There's a camp store that's open Friday to Monday for little goodies and trinkets.”

Red Rock Trailhead
4.6
( 8 reviews )

Gibraltar Trail, Forest Rte 5N18, Santa Barbara, CA 93110, United States

“This is a very dangerous place to hike and swim. Aside from being very real with no cell phone, it's also very hot, there are rattlesnakes. The water is unsafe as it's murky and full of large boulders. It's not safe to jump off the rocks due to the boulders under the water. Definitely don't recommend going here”
