“Glentress Forest, Peebles in Scotland. What a fantastic place to hold the UCI championship cycling. A well organised event with Park & Ride car parking in Innerleithen and a comfortable bus ride to Glentress (only thing was the bus drivers didn’t know what time the last bus was leaving Glentress!!). We had a brilliant time, and had a great view of the women & men jumping over the rocks. We hope it happens here in Peebles again perhaps next time!”

“Took 8 friends down for a game on Sunday. I had been warned the course was needing attention but I was assured the course was improving when I called to ask 5 weeks ago. A few lads went down and played Saturday and were very disappointed by the condition. It’s 3 years since I played and I loved it then but the course and clubhouse have been neglected. I’ve never seen greens as bad as these. I’d say 13/14 of them were unplayable. Breakfast rolls were dreadful but the two course meal afterwards was better. 4/10 for the clubhouse and 2/10 for the course. Pity as it used to be in my top 10.”
