“My girlfriends took me gear for my birthday. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, the service is top tier and the Chef Cindy Wolf offers delicious menu. The service was stellar and everyone on the team worked together to make sure each guest had a great dining experience. Our head waiter was fabulous and knew the menu very well. The portions are just right and the menu is not extensive but still offered a variety flavors. My favorite dish is the VERMONT GOAT CHEESE AGNOLOTTI! The flavors were perfect! I also loved the purple haze cheese that was served between dinner and dessert. I would absolutely suggest experiencing Charleston.”

The Southern egg rolls and sauce were such a great take on egg rolls and were very tasty. The pulled pork was juicy and cooked perfectly. Antonio; our waiter was on top of bringing us what we need before we even needed to ask. Think I found a new staple place to go to”

“Stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon. Had not been before. We started off with some soup. I had the potato leek and the wife had the broccoli and cheese. Both were very good. The leek was not overbearing. Next we tried the boom boom shrimp. It was fried shrimp with a nice sauce. Not the best I've ever had but pretty darn good. For our entrees, we had the steak boxty and the seafood boxty. The wife loved her steak and the seafood was pretty good. I would have liked the potato pancake to be cooked just a bit more. For dessert we had the bread pudding. It was said to be made at the restaurant. I was a bit disappointed. The top was cold and the bottom was like warm. It's consistency was a bit on the soggy side. Not my favorite. Service was very good. Jillian was our server. She was very friendly and attentive. She made the experience very pleasant.”

“This was our second time coming here and our experience was equally as good as the first time. We had an early lunch shortly after opening and all of the girls inside were super friendly and our waitress was fantastic. We started with the Bo Bo Shrimp and they were huge, fresh and deeeelicious. I had the Reuben and I think it might be the best one I've ever had in my life!! We also had the fried cod sandwich which was also incredible. We will be back for sure! Thanks for another great experience!”

“Dolly & I agree that this place is pretty average. Here are a list of items we tried: buffalo wings - dry/stale af. Rocket Burger (vegan) - EXTRA SPICY, fries- basic/oily no crunch. My friend had the shrimp and grits. Said it was okay- not changing lives. The decor is pretty dark, customer service was good but could be better. For example, we asked the waiter about an item on our plate and he had no idea what it was (that included the vegan burger). It's giving diner but with VERY basic food. I imagine it to be lit at night.”

The food was delicious, the service very good, and the prices were moderate. We had the open faced meatloaf sandwich ($18.50) and the scrambled egg and brie sandwich ($16.00). Our only disappointment was that there weren't any marked handicapped parking spaces. We were told to just park in the take-out parking spots.”

“I have been going to Ashland Cafe since 1997. The food is always amazing, service is very quick, and always attentive staff. My favorite "go-to" dish is the creamed chipped beef. It is the best around. If you stop in, congratulate MOISES. He has been a staple at Ashland for 20 years!!! Amazing person! While the cafe does serve lunch and dinner, my favorite is breakfast!
