“Ma Harper’s Gumbo is always delicious. It is very tasty and flavorful. Cornbread is moist and good. Fried pork chop is a good size. It’s was not dry it was moist cook to perfection. Service is great. Atmosphere is very welcoming. Ma Harper always greets us with her smile and makes us laugh. She is a kind hearted person.”

The staff is friendly and accommodating, the appetizers and salads were delicious and steaks cooked to perfection! This is the first time we shared the 40oz porterhouse and it did not disappoint! Make sure to make reservations and bring an appetite!”

“The food was good. Not the best, but by far not the worst. The food price was also a bit high for the yield. When asked if a club sandwich could be made, the answer was "Not today, that's one of our specials." Why would you turn down money today? The dine-in area also wasn't clean and was fairly run-down looking. We ate there and wiped down our own table. No tables were cleaned the entire time we were there even though there was a staff of at least five behind the counter. I would understand if they were busy, they weren't. There were water damaged ceiling tiles and mismatched table and chairs modified by PVC and napkins. The floors and baseboards also were obviously not cleaned. There were food scraps and thick dust visible from several feet away. I would like to try again once they have some time to address some of these flaws.”

All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming, such a pleasure to come here, especially Wednesdays and Thursdays - open mic and jazz nights respectively. I love that there are two menu options now. Kent and his team are fabulous! The Dakota Ice house is the jewel of our neighborhood.”

“My friends and I enjoyed the NYD pajama brunch at the Broadway location. It was their first visit and they couldn’t say enough about the food, atmosphere and service. Our wait staff was so attentive and friendly. She was knowledgeable about all menu items and made great recommendations. We asked to be moved to a booth as it was more comfortable and private than a table; we were easily accommodated. A barbacoa omelette was ordered to go and feedback was that it was the best he had ever had! We also had Irish coffee which was delicious and warming on a chilly morning. We had a fun and wonderful morning enjoying our food, atmosphere and experience.”

“Always a treat to dine here! Love the location, and while a little small on the inside, the covered dining option outside looked like a great place to dine al fresco during my next visit! The food is always cooked to perfection and served by a caring and attentive staff. I felt like I needed a gallon of that insanely delicious sour cream ice cream to take home! Praise heaven that was THE ice cream on the cake!”

“I loved it! Great staff and service. Food delicious and the company, my boys, was lovely. The decor is hip but warm, the menu had a new twist to old favorites (great and interestingidea). And the coffee, hot and made just right! SA folks get over there and try it and take your visiting family over as well. It's a great place for family and friends to meet and eat. Oh, by the way it has a great big, beautiful outdoor area as well. I recommend highly.”

“Now I see what the hype is about. The service, food and atmosphere were great. Our waitress gave great recommendations and everything was pretty spot on. Enjoyed the Chilean Sea Bass, truffle risotto, scallops, meatballs, stuffed mushrooms, and mini desserts. We will be back.”

“Restaurant Claudine Although my evening didn’t go as planned… I am happy that I committed on moving forward as I intended. It was worth it. The team that was there during my visit was excellent, hospitable and attentive. (Kristen,Thank you for your service and Communication) My starter …a beautifully plated Carpenter Eggs which are Deviled Eggs made with white truffle oil and caviar. Main course was a house recommendation… the RABBIT BOLOGNESE pappardelle pasta, bacon, fennel, leeks, Parmesan. Closing with a decadent…Chocolate Pie with a scoop of French vanilla Ice cream 🍨 and of course a classic coffee ☕️ I did have a cocktail that was highly recommended if I love old fashions and it was the Squash-By-Gosh! Butternut squash bourbon,maple, walnut bitters…and yes .. it was worth it. Also the Champagne helped my spirits also good. The ambience of the location is beautiful, clean and memorable. Overall my personal experience turned out to be outstanding.”
