“A really pleasant lunch experience. The food was very good, piping hot and exactly as ordered. The waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. The diner was updated and very clean. I will definitely be back to try some of their other options rather than the breakfast I had for lunch. p.s. The breakfast did come with toast, but I'm gluten free so they offered me several options other than bread.”

“Excellent service, exceedingly friendly staff. Literally everyone we interacted with was super friendly, asking us whether it was our first time there, if we had questions, what we were celebrating, etc. Very cognizant regarding allergy concerns. Menu clearly states what is gluten free. Food and drinks were delicious (crispy brussel sprouts for appetizer, pan roasted salmon and apple blueberry salad with chicken for entree, pineapple martini and sneaky lavender). Definitely will visit again.”

“This is home-cooking @ it's best. One of the specials today was the volcano pot roast which I had because it's one of my favorites. The roast beef is tender & plentiful with gravy over mashed potatoes & on a piece of white bread with onion straws on top. Somehow that piece of white bread tastes so good with soaked up gravy & reminds me of my youth. Seasoned green beans with onion bits & bacon round out the perfect meal. I had the leftovers for supper & it's great reheated, too. Harlan Cafe has great skillet breakfasts, sampler, & pancakes & several different waffles done to perfection. Never had a bad meal here!”

“Went to the Marquee for dinner with friends on New Year's Eve. Good choice for upscale atmosphere and dinner. I had the kimchi meatloaf. While it was fine, it didn't deliver on the kimchi promise, nor did the ketchup taste much like Thai... Just need to amp up the flavors please. I couldn't resist the creme brulee for dessert and that definitely did not disappoint! Almost wish I just had a couple more and called it "dinner". 🙂”
