Toasted sourdough double cheeseburger with onions, pickles, mustard- so good, so juicy!🍔The garlic fries were also good.🧄🍟Cold water on tap. I like water.💧 The inside is interesting with many past celebrities photos. Large outside bar area on the water.🍻🍸🌊 I give this place high praise. Everything was great. “Service was terrible and rushed. I brought a friend here for their birthday, it was also their first omakase experience. Upon making our reservation, their policy on Tock stated there’s a two hour seating limit. However as we were eating they were trying to kick us out within an hour of our dinner service. Although it was their last reservation slot for the day, don’t offer reservations that late if you don’t want to stay late. Omakase was just below average. I felt like the price being charged didn’t reflect the quality and courses we received. We ordered a few additional menu items and nothing really stood out. I don’t recommend this place.”

“Amazing experience from the wonderful hostess, to the waiter, through the entire meal service. The filet was delicious, and cut like butter. The mashed potatoes were flavorful, & creamy. The creamed spinach was great also. The carrots were a new experience, but definitely something to try. We finished off with the apple crisp which too, was full of flavor, and wonderful textures. Cannot wait to go back. We celebrated my husband's birthday in one of the private booths , and it was such a special experience.”

“Great bar! They're praising their burger, saying it's the best burger in SF, I won't agree or disagree, but the burger was very delicious. One thing I'll say it was outstanding was FRENCH FRIES !!! The waiter was polite and patient with us. Food came super fast, and it was fresh and tasty. Portions are very decent. I recommend this place, it's definitely worth visiting.”

“It's been a good while since I've been here, but since learning they're open late, I decided to come back and give it a try. I'm always on the hunt for late night spots in the city with good food and Grubstake checks all of the boxes. A cute little spot on Pine, You could probably pass this place and not notice what it was. Once you step in, there's a very cozy feeling. Quite a few tables and booths, but there's also a countertop. You have the option of ordering online or you can ask for a traditional menu in order through a server. Once we sat down, we are immediately greeted a staff member and were given water. Ordering online is super easy. A couple things that I would definitely recommend: • Onion rings • Grilled Buffalo Wings Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. I had the cheeseburger and it was so juicy and perfectly cooked. This place is a real gem! Parking can be a little bit difficult but definitely would recommend coming here. Staff is super friendly and food comes out in a timely fashion!”

“I went to Sons & Daughters with my wife for our wedding anniversary. I highly recommend this place and it was good value relative to money spent for the amount of food we had and the incredible wine paring that went with our meals. Everyone was knowledgeable with the ingredients and method used to cook the food. Education and being informed was a part of the overall experience. It’s a cozy restaurants with only 10 tables inside. Felt like I was at a darkened lounge atmosphere wise and the windows facing the street are see through from the inside and reflective on the outside. The flavors of regular ingredients - albeit incredibly fresh - were enhanced exponentially by the chefs. All in all, a great experience provided by the staff and out of this world flavors by the chefs.”

“We went here for my mom's bday and we loved our experience. For starters, we ordered the Bam Bam Shrimp and Blackberry BBQ chicken wings and both were so good. The shrimp was crispy and the spicy remoulade drizzled on top of it was just the right amount and wasn't too spicy. The Blackberry BBQ was moist and not too sweet. For my entree, I ordered the fried chicken with grilled mac and cheese. The chicken had a nice crisp and was also moist on the inside like the wings. I have never had grilled mac and cheese before and I liked the one that they had here. I was expecting it to be dry, but the inside was creamy while the crust had enough crisp that it was still not burnt. My sister ordered their gumbo and it was homey and had a lot of meats in it. The portion sizes were HUGE! The servers were all friendly and very accommodating. For dessert, we had their bread pudding that I wished was a tiny bit sweeter and had more sauce. We also tried their apple pie which was sooo yummy. Overall, loved our experience here. Will go back for some more grilled mac and cheese.”

Definitely fine dining. They have a pseudo estuary in the kitchen to keep oysters fresh until the moment served. Highly recommend”
