“We came here for a birthday celebration and the service was amazing! Food was well seasoned & served timely. Shaundra provided exceptional French-dining service… I was very impressed. I didn’t get a picture of the chicken chopped salad, which had a delicious sesame dressing nor did I get a pic of the hummus plate with the cucumber-tomato salad, but it was all exceptional. A friend loved the country fried pork loin & said it was perfectly cooked. Great portion for the price. The miso glazed salmon was also delicious. It was a special for the night, but it’s definitely worth trying it if it returns to the menu. My husband got the vegetable enchiladas, which had a great spice & seasoning to them. Not bland at all! Finally, I got the mussels in the white wine sauce. Nicely done. Check out the pics!”

“Great place, I can't say enough good things about it. We went on a Saturday night and they had live music that was really good. You can make a reservation on their website, which I don't think is probably necessary, but it helps if you know when you're going. We got the Dirty South Tots, Chicken Tenders and Flank Steak. Everything was great, the steak was cooked perfectly! We filled up a bit on the tots (and a few drinks) so had to get to-go boxes, which I'm not at all upset about because it made a bomb breakfast Sunday morning!”

“Not a big spot, so definitely make a reservation. The menu is one page, but there is nothing on there not worth having. For appetizers, I had the deviled eggs and the chicken meatballs. Neither disappointed with the flavor. With the chicken meatballs, you also get a version of grits. This could be a meal if you are watching your calories. I had the pan-fried white fish (the Tartar sauce is a must) with coleslaw and French fries. My mouth was so happy with each bite. I am not big on desserts, but we sampled all three (hot fudge sundae carrot cake and banana cream pie, so for my dessert people get one, you will be glad. So why did I give the food 4 stars, no lemonade, flavored teas, or sweet tea ? We are Texans, and we definitely would like the option of sweet tea and lemonade.”

The bun and cheese has dairy in it. The patty was just average and fell apart as soon as I took a bite out of it. There was not really a lot of flavor. The drink was on point and I enjoyed that. I’m thinking I’ll try a salad my next visit.”

“The only reason I am giving this place a “2” is because the server and host was extremely nice. The atmosphere was nice for an intimate dinner but it was a little too dark in my opinion. Our food arrived promptly within 15 minutes and it was COLD! Normally, my bf would have a fit and refuse to pay for food that was equivalent to pulling it out of the fridge. The Manhattan was good and strong, but definitely not worth $16. The dress code listed on the website didn’t match the appearances of the guest at this establishment. Overall, I’ve had better food at Denny’s compared to this place. At least their food is hot and fresh.”

“What a great place to celebrate a special occasion. As luck would have it, and bless us, Joshua our waiter just so happened to be our same server at a different restaurant last time we celebrated my partners birthday. We recognized him, and I even had a video of him preparing our food from last time. Josh is a great waiter. Full of valuable information on the dishes being served. No questions went unanswered and with honesty. We lucked out. Chef Misti is certainly a maestro at her directing the symphony of the different flavors of the food she prepares. We started out with the “small” Charcuterie board. Wow! What an incredible explosion of different flavors and we were almost too full to go on. But we were there to taste at least one of the noodle plates and the pigtail delight. Josh was so kind, that as a remembrance of our previous celebration and our next birthday, we were surprised by him bringing us the beef belly dish. What a treat. He explained completely how it was prepared and it was just as delicious as the TIME it took to prepare it. By that time we were so full, we had to decide on the pigtails plate or a noodle Plate. We went with the lamb noodle plate and decided we needed to return to order the pigtails plate. The lamb noodle plate had fennel, dill and other delightful flavors that it topped off our incredible dinner. Definitely going back. Thank you Petra and The Beast for a memorable dinner!🙏🏼”

Upon arrival, be prepared to find parking, as there is no valet or reserved lot, a big no no for the price point. The food was sophisticated, yet complicated for a beginner’s palate. For the price point, the portion sizes could be bigger. We could tell that a lot of thought went into the taste and presentation of the dishes. The Food is served in the order that it appears on the menu. The ambience was definitely there. Fancy, yet rustic. You can wow a date with this place, but be ready to drop a lot of money. Each dish is only enough to feed 1 person. So be ready to order double if your not trying to by a pizza from up the street right after. The wait staff was amazing. Great place if you’re trying to impress your rich and fancy friends.”
