Farm Sanctuary
4.8
( 16 reviews )

3136 Aikens Rd, Watkins Glen, NY 14891, United States

“We had a great time on the children's tour. Our guide was excellent. The tour is long enough to see and enjoy all the animals, but short enough to not exceed a child's attention span. You can tell they put this program together with a lot of thought and attention to detail. Although we are not vegans, this did open our eyes more to factory farming.”

Niagara County Spca

( 8 reviews )
Open until 06:00 PM

2100 Lockport Rd, Niagara Falls, NY 14304, United States

“I typically would never leave a bad review after any bad experience i’ve had, but sadly my kids are truly upset i went to the spca on 7/7 my kids picked out the kitten they wanted and was told my staff we were able to visit as much as we wanted since she needed to be fixed before we could take her home. Finally on 7/14 they called and told me my kitten was ready for pick up but couldn’t get there until the 15th, I get there after worked an overnight and was told that the kitten i thought i had purchased was now the black and white one. after spending a week with my kids visiting the “ grey kitten” now they tell me the black and white one is mine. truly upsetting that not only did they make me feel like i was in the wrong, but being insensitive knowing i was there every other day with my kids visiting a kitten that wasn’t even ours. hopefully this is a learning lesson for them so other families won’t be disappointed. I will never adopt from here AGAIN.”

Animal Care Council
4.6
( 16 reviews )

131 Washington Ave, Endicott, NY 13760, United States

“Very professional shelter. I adopted 2 cats, Marlo and Arlan. They are the best cats I've had. Couldn't be any happier. They are healthy and up to date on their shots. They give you a goodie bag that the cats love (home made toys and a small blanket that smells like the shelter) that helps the cats accommodate the new atmosphere. They give you plenty of time to spend with the cats before adoption to make sure you are getting the cat you are looking for. Very happy, and on top of that I am not lonely anymore! Thank you so much.”

“This man should be sued for malpractice. He is so unprofessional. I swear it seems like his certifications are just dissecting animals in his basement. Do not trust this man with your pets. I won't even call him a doctor because he isnt. Dear Roy J Appel I hope all the animals you have killed due to your malpractice come back to haunt you.”

Olivia was great in communication and the other woman( don't remember name) very knowledgeable and pleasant as well. Our new kitty was clean, well cared for, the facility very clean as well. Thank you, was so happy to add a new four legged family member recently. Tortellini now known as Sinders is very sweet and fitting in well, we love her.”

6160 County Rd 32, Norwich, NY 13815, United States

“I got Minnie 13 years ago. She was 3 years old and a Yorkie. This is a long life for a Yorkie. She was a good friend to my daughter and a loyal companion to me. We just lost 😔 her to old age. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful dog that loved everyone. This was her last picture. She was happy and disheveled after running around with the kids, at Otsenango Park. I occasionally babysit these children. She loved when we went to the park and had a picnic. She would steal 🤫😉 chicken nuggets (her favorite indulgence). Our hearts are breaking. We hope to find another like her. ❤️”

Linda and Karen are very thorough in checking the family, the environment/house and making sure the animal is going to the right home. Dewitt Animal Hospital

5620 Thompson Rd, Syracuse, NY 13214, United States

“My son’s dog was previously diagnosed with congestive heart failure by this vet several months ago. As a result, they prescribed 3 different medications as a precaution treatment. Recently, my son ran out of pills for couple of days of 1 of the 3 meds. He called the hospital to get a refill and they only would give him 5 pills. After the dog took those pills she was doing well. I had her the day, my son took the dog back for bloodwork in order to get the remaining meds. The dog walked in with a leash and when they brought the dog back to his car, she was lethargic and couldn’t walk. Obviously something happened within the hospital. Then he requested the vet to come out and was told either bring her home or to the ER. As a result they had to put the dog down due to her new condition. If they didn’t insist on bloodwork , I believe the dog would have been able to go home. I believe the dogs heart was stressed at this visit and she collapsed. My son didn’t want the bloodwork it was forced. The dog had a cough prior to this visit and was always happy to see me with a playful manner, even on the day they put her down . You be the judge, coincidental?. I’m so saddened by these sequence of events.”
