“Brought my puppy in to get neutered. The staff was very nice however I did run into a few issues. First being that we presented his up to date rabies vaccine at check in like directed and it was taken but the vet however we were charged and our dog was given the rabies vaccine without consent when he wasn’t due for a new one until 9/23/24. Second I called multiple times to check on my dog as well as ask a follow up question as I was given zero instruction on how to care for him after the surgery and I was sent to voicemail 5 times. Our puppy was there for 8 hours and probably just left in a cage the entire time when he could have been home with his family and he has not been able to walk since picking him up from surgery. Mostly really just upset about the rabies vaccine situation!”

“Cassie: Got a new home 1 year ago. My new home came with a bed for me in every room, lots of toys and a whole lot of loving (belly rubs every day). We went to a dog parade in Deland and people were throwing treats to me. Yummmmm! I had a nice roommate at Flagler Humane Society hope he found a good home also. I was happy and well cared for there. Before my new family could take me to my new home they had to be approved. Glade they passed! Being a young pup I had some behaviors that needed correcting but with the help of “The Dog Whisperer” Caesar Milan’s TV shows my new family learned how to help me change my behavior. “The employees here are ALWAYS SO SUPER NICE. I love good customer service!! I don’t know what I would do without this place sometimes!! I take a lot of rescue cats and try to find them good homes when I can but I’ve gotten stuck with a few so I have like seven or eight cats and every now again like three or four dogs but they usually always find homes pretty quickly so I am so grateful for this place it helps me so much being able to save the money on the free cat food and dog food means I can use the money for other things they need like worming medication, vet bills, helping get them a new home and I wouldn’t be able to do what I do without them much love and MANY BLESSINGS!!🥰🙏🥹😍😇😺🫶🏻🐶”

“They sold me a dog with cancer. They claimed he was neutered, when he just tried to screw another dog in front of me. They claimed he was 2 years younger when he’s older. They claimed he was heartworm free when he wasn’t. I had to take him back to the Humane Society for treatment because they cut corners and only gave him 2 shots instead of 3. It’s a good thing I did because all 3 shots is apparently $1,000. They did that free of cost after I gave them some strong words. From the moment I got him it’s been only issues. He had allergies that I had to spend $300 on an allergy test to figure out because he was covered in rashes. He had kennel cough and I had to then spend $200 on that. Literally the worst establishment ever. Waste of time and money. I love my pup but poor thing has been through everything because they did not give him comprehensive care before I adopted him. Do not adopt from here unless you want to spend thousands of dollars. I am now sitting in my car deciding if I should spend $600 every 3 weeks toward chemotherapy or put my dog down.”

“Near my grandmothers house people frequently abandon their pets within the neighborhood. Two kittens were recently amongst the abandoned so my grandmother called about bringing them in. She had a pleasant conversation over the phone and was told she could bring them in. When she brought the two kittens in she dealt with a completely rude woman who tried to make her feel awful for feeding them and not just essentially ignoring the problem. She also made sure to say to my grandmother that she “hoped they wouldn’t end up at the farm.” If this is the way you talk to and treat people it’s not a mystery why people don’t bother to surrender pets the proper way and just continue to abandon them. Appalling the way you spoke to an elderly person who was trying to do the right thing.”
