“One of the best collections of any bookstore I have ever been in. The shelves are overflowing, both with tons of copies of popular books and unique ones you’re unlikely to find elsewhere. The store is deceptively huge as well. The used books are all reasonably priced and in good shape. The one downside is there isn’t a store catalogue to search for a particular book but digging is part of the fun and the sections are well categorized. Bonus shoutout to the two kitties that live here!”

“Very rude customer service. I came in with store credit but I had to use it all at once. I said they can keep the rest because they were closing. But no they can’t do that for some reason even though they would gain the extra money. The workers were all smirking and standing around doing absolutely nothing while this was taking place. So I then purchased my items and wanted to just cash out the store credit. For some reason the worker said they don’t cash out the pay stubs from donating items. Even though I have done this before. They are so rude in there and I will not ever return.”

“The worst REI I’ve been to. Three out of four store associates we asked for help were rude and/or uncommunicative. The only one that was helpful also seemed like everything and everyone was a chore. The last associate gave so much attitude and was so unhelpful, that I am now completely out of a product I have already paid for, and need to just…Sit and wait and hope that the online team was able to fix the store associate’s mistake in re-routing the replacement. I only gave the one star because we were able to find most things we wanted this visit. On top of the weird employees and their collective disdain for everyone that walks through the doors, the store is just way more cramped and oddly laid out than any other REI I’ve been to. Like other reviewers have said, just a very odd experience.”

“This is such an incredible place a true modern blast from the past. The history of the village is really neat and it's a treasure of all Coarsegold. Great food at the wild Fig and candy and treats at Mimaw's. The little shops around the village are all cute fun and unique. The hand made candles and Goat milk Soap at Modee's Leather and Lace are absolutely incredible. Modee also has doggy gifts and treats for sale. I prefer soy milk candles over other types of candles and that is what Modee specializes in. The goat milk Soap from Mountain Oak Premium Soap at Modee's is delightful as well the smells are wonderful. Come on down and see the rich western history of the Coarsegold village. Oh yeah the coffee shop is so good as well. The antique store is fun as well as the Poppy shop and Mended Fences, and you can even get Magna Wave Treatment at Three Cross healing at the village as well. I would venture to say that no trip to Yosemite would be considered complete without stopping at the historic Coarsegold Village.”

I am very happy with it and also another person (didn't catch his name?) very helpful getting furniture into my car. I just love their stores and service. I would definitely like to come back.”

“This collectible store is awesome...first off let me tell you, not only had I not visited the store yet. I found them by Google maps search...But when I called Serge, he was super friendly and said... He did not have my collectible In stock, but had a sale in progress of acquiring it!! He took my number and said he would call me before he even put it for sale!!! Only a couple days past and he text me right away!!! So here's the great part, I couldn't make it in for 2 days because my car was at the dealership, an he held it for me!?!? Now if that is not great service and just a kind human, then I don't know what is! I appreciate meeting people like this, that are just good people...Thank you again Serge!!!”
