“The internet connecting page lead to malware. Underground parking is only reachable by a ramp, but once your vehicle is lowered, only way up is through narrow metallic stairs like in a ship. Good luck getting your bags up, and don't expect any help from the staff which is disinterested at best. They won't bother letting you know there is no elevator so as to give you a chance to leave your luggage at the lobby, either. We tried to extend our stay for a night, however they required us to check out, take out our stuff and wait until the check in time to move to another room, even when an exact same room was available for whomever was checking into our room. It was impossible to have the receptionist realize this and we had go leave early for a work day, so waiting for check in time was impossible. We opted instead for a new hotel, and will likely not be returning.”

“There are many reasons why we loved Hotel El Mirador. Location is superb. We walk whenever we can and this hotel is very well situated to walk to the gym , beaches , restaurants, busy streets for shopping and food , Chedraui is close by too ! If you want to go to the further beaches and I’m sure you do , you can take a taxi right out front or a collectivo as well. The rooms are very clean , bed was very comfy. lots of hot water, good view of the ocean, two very large and clean pools. The 2nd story pool was just retiled and it’s like new. The staff are very friendly and kind and will help you out if need be! The air conditioner works superb ! A special thank you for making us feel so welcome! Like any hotels one does hear noise occasionally but at bedtime , the noise stops so no worries there. There is a great place to eat called La Luna , 10 meters close that is associated with the hotel. We ate most breakfasts there and Gloria takes care if your preferences. We will be back for sure. Muchas Gracias for having us!”

“Nice, simple rooms and great location directly across the street from the beach. Rooftop pool is really nice with an expansive ocean view. Currently construction on three sides of the building that starts at 7:00am and ends after dark. Also, construction workers amplify music throughout the day as well. Hotel restaurant has not been open, perhaps only open on weekends.”

“Reserved a room on the phone and they said it would be $1300. Once I got to the hotel they told us it would be $1650 which is $350 pesos more. Rooms were dirty even saw roaches crawling under a mirror. Beds were uncomfortable. Loud bar next door which keeps you from sleeping. Bathroom was very dirty and small as well. Only nice this was the location employees were also pretty nice.”

“I recently stayed as part of a group. Pros: The design and layout was well done. The courtyard and public spaces were filled with plants and seating. The room is well laid out and simple. This allows for a peaceful and relaxing stay. The bathroom is well laid out also. What could be improved: I was freezing or too hot every night. I spoke with reception and they just shrugged. I didn’t sleep during the stay. No temperature worked. Mostly, it was too cold at night. Very uncomfortable. Breakfast: supposedly included but I had a hard time getting served. One of the 4 days, I waited for an hour while everyone around me was served. I got apologies but breakfast took more than an hour. They also changed what was included daily. This was disappointing. The coffee shop was good. Most of the service requests went unanswered. The location was good and once inside, you felt at ease.”

“Every member of their staff was so sweet and attentive. I also appreciated that they compensated me for some room issues with the TV and lights which they rectified. I appreciate their help with putting their crossing guard to help us cross the busy street from the hotel to the plaza on a daily basis. I highly recommend staying at this hotel. The pool was also amazing and I highly recommend going to their spa! Best spa experience I have had in my life.”

“Really friendly staff and gorgeous interior but unfortunately I won’t be coming back. This place is perfect for someone that wants to only stay in the hotel: eat and sunbathe exclusively there. The location is very secluded from everything in Huatulco and yes, waking distance to a open sea beach but it’s not really an option to go there since the hotel did not provide working umbrellas even though before booking I called the hotel and confirmed that they did: upon checking-in they mentioned that the wind broke the beach umbrellas they had BUT they also mentioned that any equipment borrowed from the hotel to the beach that was mishandled needed to be payed for…. So following their logic the umbrellas that were damaged were also payed for but still haven’t been replaced, this is not acceptable specially considering the price for a night. The check-in process also needs polishing since you are greeted with a large amount of information in a 15-20 minute speech right under the Huatulco heat, in my opinion a lot of the information given by the check in lady could be delivered in a written way. I think the hotel is beautiful design-wise but for the price it should include breakfast… The restaurant is good but very expensive when you think about the fact that you’re basically forced to have every meal in the hotel since it’s not close to anything else and going anywhere in town has a price of a minimum of 200$ Other details worth mentioning: beach towels always had yellow stains and the common TV room is not really up pair with the price. They back this up by saying that your stay is meant be a “disconnect” but I think this should be optional: if I don’t want to watch tv in my room, I won’t turn it on. Also the room has only black out blinds and no curtains, so it’s either pitch black but windows covered or fully see through windows.”

“I absolutely loved my stay here. The helpful and friendly staff really made the stay more pleasurable. The view from our room was beautiful, the studio on the top floor was very appreciated and I did really lovely yoga classes twice. You get a little discount for being a guest at the hotel. My only criticism would be the lunch menu wasn't that great for vegetarians. If the quality and variation of food was improved this I would have rated this hotel as exceptional.”

The beds were comfortable (even for side sleepers like us), the breakfast was delicious (special thanks to Dafni who managed to get us our breakfast before our taxi arrived) and the pool was a welcome refuge from the heat. “Oct 2022: super friendly and helpful staff. Overnight guy a little grumpy; probably cuz it's the overnight shift. Hotel doors close at 11pm. Great location, easy walk to Centro, Rinconada, Playa Principal and Playa Manzanilla. In nice quiet neighborhood. No night life, if that's your thing. Room good, nothing great. Good AC. Power went out a few times, but staff quickly got it back on. I stayed here because price/value is good. But then after a week, glad I decided to spend the extra 400 pesos for another hotel. It's a good hotel. Depends what ur looking for”
