“This is our second out of season visit to La Trapera. Our preference is to visit out of season to enjoy the peace and tranquility. The site, run by a lovely, friendly family, is located in a beautiful valley. The pitches are clearly marked and each pitch has its own electricity and water connection. The toilet/shower block is modern and kept immaculately clean. Lunch at the restaurant is an experience not to be missed, the food is superb. This location is a paradise for walkers or cyclists. Directly from the site you have access to paths roads and tracks to suit every interest and ability. Our preference was simply to walk up into the hills along the stream running next to the site. We picked hawthorn berries and enjoyed homemade hawthorn ketchup for the rest of our holiday. A round trip (easy walk) of just over a mile takes you into pradoluengo, where there is a well stocked supermarket, banks etc. We cannot recommend this site highly enough.”

“Cute hotel, well located - the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast wasn’t amazing, but well suited for the 5€. The HUGE downside was four creepy guys hanging in the lobby at night. The first night we arrived one guy was looking around and another was hanging in front of the rooms. We thought he was security, which he was not! Unfortunately, they were harassing me and my girlfriend by offering to sleep in our room. After we declined they followed us and knocked on our door a few times. We panicked and called the hotel security and they handled the situation instantly. Until now we don’t know what happened or who the guys were, just that the next morning they were not around. Would not recommend for solo female travelers!”

Down side is they do not have their own parking so you either park on the street if you can find a spot or in the Plaza Major parking garage which is a 5 minute walk.”

They were extremely spacious, I asked for a blanket at reception and they come all the way up to my room to check if there is one in the closet and there isn’t so they went all the way to get a brand new, fresh one. A lot of noise in the night though. The breakfast was great - very delicious and heaps of healthy/delicious options. Tiny lift though.”

“For a budget hotel, this was a very nice stay. The room was an adequate size, clean and warm. The shower was powerful and hot. We had an overnight stay here en route to our ferry at santander. Our small dog was made welcome for a 9 euro additional charge. We also paid 12 euro for garaged parking - worth it for us as we had expensive electric bikes on the back of our car as well as a top box. There is also free street parking in the vicinity if you don't want to pay. It's a 35-minute walk if you want to go to the city centre. There is breakfast available, but we didn't have any, so I can not comment on the quality. Overall, it was a very pleasant overnight stopover. Thank you, Hotel Eurowest!”
