“We spent just over a week traveling around Italy and Up Hotel was, hands-down, our favorite stay! I booked the Up Room and didn't realize that it is a semi-secret penthouse room with a private entrance. It was beautifully outfitted and we can't stop talking about the Dorelan pebble bed! So unique and super comfortable! Loved the skylights that open up and create a balcony-like feel. The only issue we had was that the bathtub would only produce cold water, but that didn't take away from how much we enjoyed ourselves and the manager was very apologetic. The breakfast and cappuccino were excellent, and we appreciated the 24/7 access to free water (including sparkling!) The location is very walkable and maybe 5 minutes to the beach on foot. We were able to street-park our car for free right in front of the hotel but they did have a small, gated lot out back for an extra charge if needed. We only stayed for one night but are already planning a return for a longer visit!”

“We went 2nd week of June 2022, for a week and till this day my kids dream of going back again (which we will ). The food is a dream even for picky eaters. They have everything you could imagine and then some. The animation team is always available with fun stuff to keep everyone busy even the adults. We were lucky that at that period it was not yet crowded so we had a chance to really enjoy the stay, even the indoor play area was well kept. I found the mummy kitchen very useful since we had a baby with us. The management was always available for any question. The rooms are not big and the beds are not very comfortable but I guess that depends on your preference . I highly recommend this hotel specially if you have kids . The entire team of executive hotel makes you feel at home away from home .”

Also, the carpet in the room killed our noses, not sure if it was not cleaned very often or just too dry. Breakfast was good, I just wished that I knew in the first day that I could order eggs. Also, after 9.30am you won't find the same variety that you would at 8.30 maybe.”

“We stayed at Hotel Derby for a week in June and it was absolutely wonderful! The owners and staff clearly want to please the guests. Even though we could not speak Italian (we did try), we were greeted with warm smiles and a staff that went out of the way for our every request. My daughter got a little cut while playing outside and they ran to get her band-aides and anti-bacterial ointment. Every day we were amazed by the range of foods that were served daily (dozens of options) and the desserts were spectacular. We travel the world and have lived in Europe for a few years and this has become one of our favorite destinations. We will be back year after year!”

Unfortunately, the prices at the hotel bar were very high (more than 6 euros for a beer). “We were a large family of 5 including two children. At the welcome, we were surprised by the knowledge of the ladies at the reception, who speak English very well. We felt at home in this hotel. Every day at breakfast two lovely ladies asked us if we wanted anything else in addition to breakfast, which was still very rich. The garden in front of the hotel is the perfect place to relax and take a break from the scorching sun. The cleaning ladies take care of the guest's comfort every day and clean the room properly.
