“Great location for walking in and out of Sorrento, the rooms are spacious, modern and stylish. The food was great and the staff were really attentive, breakfast is a buffet style so you can fill up for the day. The pool is great and has plenty of sun loungers and it’s private. The hotel is full of great art and is was one of my favourites on our trip, oh almost forgot they have a spa and wellness centre downstairs with massages etc.”

It started with the availability of a parking lot (pretty great feature as the Agriturismo is situated at a narrow and winded road. “We stopped here for the last night of our honeymoon, to catch the flight back home. Upon arriving we were greeted with happiness and kindness. We had massages scheduled immediately upon arriving and felt very relaxed without worries. The room was gorgeous! I wish we had more days here. It’s very modern and new, every detail was absolutely perfect. They offered to call taxi to the airport but we had a car, so instead they planned a morning wake-up call to ensure we had time to enjoy the breakfast. Recommend and hope to return!”

“Do not stay here if the below is not what you are looking for. It was like visiting the movie ‘cocoon’. Everyone here is of retirement age (of course not a problem, but not what we were expecting!) and staff did not seem welcoming of ‘outsiders’ (as further evidenced by the response to this review) The rooms were incredibly dated, the AC didn’t cool the room (with all windows and doors closed) it’s a really very very long steep climb up to the hotel from the road, the ‘13 pools’ are average, and some worryingly murky, you are made to buy and wear a swimming cap (at least the selfies were amusing lol). Despite the hotel information telling you that there should be ‘silence’ from midnight-8am, there was INCREDIBLY loud music (even with all doors and windows closed) which didn’t stop until 1am after repeated phone calls to reception. We then had a battle on our hands to be able to check out a day early and not be bullied into paying for and staying another night after our terrible experience. Honestly, when we were looking for a hotel we thought, ‘it will be fine for the price’, it was NOT and almost ruined our holiday EDIT: and as expected, they do not respond well to genuinely honest reviews. We just wanted to share our experience for others. We were not informed about the planned party that night, we’re all for people having fun!, and would not have booked the hotel had we known. I’m always very wary of places which leave sarcastic responses to people who have bad experiences of their service, I’d suggest to the management to consider this in their future public conduct, as it’s not necessary.”

“The Eden Roc Hotel was more than a pleasant surprise. At a very fair price for the area, Eden Roc delivers on every level. Our check in process was extremely smooth and we received a very detailed personal walkthrough of the hotel and our room provided by the on staff hotel manager. The room itself was immaculate. A noticeably classic Positano style but also upgraded for the times with multiple region charge ports and a lovely in frame flat screen TV. The room was also filled with every amenity you could ask for as well as a private hot tub on the balcony coupled with a breathtaking view of the Positano coastline. If ever we needed anything take in care of or brought to the room, the staff was always there to assist within minutes. The hotel also boasts 2 restaurants as well as a lush wine room for private or group wine tastings. The restaurant on the top floor is a more classic and broad menu that serves dishes like pasta, salads and meat based entrees. You can also enjoy the daily breakfast buffet upstairs from 7:30am until 10:30am. The restaurant in the ground floor “The Roc” is a very upscale restaurant focusing on gourmet style pizza and a very large library of aged steaks. Reservations are required for “The Roc” so make sure to plan accordingly. We will most definitely be staying at the Eden Roc during our next visit to Positano and I highly recommend that you do too!”

“The welcome was very good. The room is a very basic but very clean and everything you need are there. The restaurant was disappointed, my wife have chestnut soup with Porcini mushrooms and beans was small but very good. my soon had pasta with sausage and broccoli (nice portion and good), after have Grigliata mista but the meats look boiling. My self had rabbit for first course and pig for second course, but both was very tiny, good cooked but no really tasty. In the end I don't know really.????????????????”

“Across from the train station, which makes it incredibly convenient. The neighborhood is very safe. The city is very safe. Hotel is in the center of everything, located along the main shopping/pedestrian areas. The staff is excellent: very friendly and accommodating, with a solid breakfast. There’s some nice touches, like the little library and reading table in the lobby. A bit of a throwback feel to the lobby, in a very good way. The hotel is totally up-to-date with free Wi-Fi, etc. Will definitely stay here again.”

“We had a short stay here. It's a beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. The hotel runs a bus down into Sorrento frequently and is always on time. The rooms are modest but clean and have some spectacular views. The food was faultless and the staff were first class. For us it was perfect and we'll look to get back there one day. We would've liked coffee facilities in the room but we didn't ask, I'm sure if we had they would've provided them. It's not a criticism just something we get used to I suppose. I'd recommend this place to anyone.”

“We loved our stay at the Marincanto for our honeymoon! Paolo at the desk was so great to us from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. He made fantastic recommendations for both Positano and for Capri since he knew that’s where we were going after. The hotel itself is gorgeous and so close to everything! They views from our room, the pool, and from the walk down to the beach are absolutely magical. It was so nice to have the private lounge section of the beach right down the stairs. And the breakfast every day was delicious, we honestly still talk about it! Even after leaving, the hotel staff were so wonderful. We realized we left a few things in our room, which they are shipping them back to us, and have been so easy to work with about it. I highly recommend staying here, it was our favorite stay during our trip.”

“I loved staying at the hotel mostly because of the staff! At the reception everybody talked very good English and we’re very keen to help and provide suggestions and alternatives! The breakfast there is very tasty with a big variety of everything except the coffee, which is strange because Italy is the land of excellent coffee making… but they were happy to bring me coffee from their bar with ice in it so it was ok. The pool and gardens are very well maintained and so is the interior in the public areas. The rooms though, especially the bathrooms are in need of some contemporary alterations eg bigger shower cabins and sound insulation between them as we could hear the people in the next room taking their shower and drying their hair at 12 midnight. Also the mattresses could use some memory foam cover which would make them suitable for most bodies. It would be a great idea to get the electric car charger working as most rented cars are hybrid. We had an issue with our rented car and thank God one of the ladies at the reception called one of her relatives to assist us at a town near by. In overall staying at this hotel was a wonderful experience and I will return any time back.”
