“There was an issue with our room prior to our arrival but the staff couldn't have been more helpful, allocating us an excellent substitute. The pool complex is full of well-tended greenery, from hibiscus bushes to palm trees. In the middle of this garden is the very large pool and lots of umbrellas and sun beds. The bar and dining room is next to the pool and has excellent staff. It's got a friendly laid-back atmosphere whether you're dressed for dinner in the dining room, or you've just rocked up for a couple of happy hour cocktails at sundown. “Had a great time here! Super quiet location and sparkling clean apartments. The kitchen was fully loaded with all you could need to cook a meal with, including some snazzy aprons! The staff were excellent about removing towels from beds that people had placed early in the AM and didn't show-up for. There was always a spot available at 11AM (by the pool) which couldn't be said for other places! The other bed areas were a lot quieter, especially down by the round-beds. Those were hardly ever taken!”

“To start off we had an amazing view over the harbour. The area is very nice and it looks like the hotel is newly renovated. The bathrooms looks new. A small fault that may as well is our fault, is that we couldn't find a do not disturb sign to hang at the door. We didn't see any other room with this as well. When the lovely cleaning staff would come, they would usually just knock on the door and open. But they do want to take good care of you. They brought us daily water and chocolate. But it lacks a little soundproofing, but in a place like this you are not supposed to stay in your room during the day anyways. Otherwise the hotel is quiet during the night and we slept well. Only one thing shocked me, was the incredibly angry bartender in the pool area. He would talk in a degrading manner towards the guests and ourselves. He talked very loudly with his colleagues instead of serving guests. You almost felt sorry for disturbing the man. In a hotel, I have actually never experienced this before. After the experience I stayed clear of the pool and bar area in fear of meeting this guy again. He would make a horrible drink and get very upset if you confronted him about this. We would get a lovely pina colada from one bartender, but when we ordered from him we got a luke warm drink that didn't resemble at all what we ordered. The pool boy delivered the drinks to us and when we asked what this was, he went to ask the bartender who just waved him off. We honestly thought that we were given beer by a mistake. For comparison I'm uploading the pictures here. One where we got a normal cocktail and the other one the stew the angry bartender gave us. So if you come for the port, book at the hotel. But if you are looking to get some good service and drinks at the pool, avoid. There is sometimes a smell at the room, but this is normal when living close to the sea / harbour.”

“First of all , all the one star ratings are ridiculous. This complex was brilliant for the price but we did have a few small issues. The pool areas where amazing but the smaller pools had a few faults like the stairs in the pool where wobbly and had no grips and every single sun bed was broken. The larger pool areas where great but was spoilt by very loud and obnoxious guests nearly every single day (we stayed for 2 weeks) but that’s not a fault of the hotel obviously. The rooms where spotless!! But the heat was a problem and we had to rent a fan (desk top size) which did absolutely nothing! It was pricey for what is was. We couldn’t open our windows after about 3 days (our room backed onto the street) as I went to close the window and there was a man standing in between the bars trying to spy on us! We told reception and the man said “what am I supposed to do?” Which obviously was true but there was no concern for our safety or any other guests. I was shaken up by this as he was literally in the bars! The restaurant was nice but average. Overall it’s a nice complex and we had a nice time but wouldn’t stay again.”

“Had smoked salmon which wasn't placed on ice/ chilled. Not sure how long it was out in the open. I had diarrhoea after that. Dinners were generally hit and miss. Breakfasts are bad. There's no plain yogurt. Most food served were processed and low-quality. Mouldy orange was served. There was a night where the bbq pork was undercooked. There wasn't enough light for the cook to check his meat while bbq-ing outside. One of my travel companions has life-threatening food allergies. I spoke to a waitress (who speaks english and doesnt wear a nametag. Not tatiana, eli nor Sara) on 2nd November and asked if they could label the food that has for example nuts. She said no. And that I should just look and ask. I mean, it gets tiring to ask for food ingredients for every meal in one's life, no? I'm disappointed in the lack of service and concern for the hotel's guest. Our rooms look very basic and rustic. Not sure why this resort is 4 stars. Rooms 150, 149, 148 are facing a road. I was awakened at 4plus am by traffic. At night, we could hear music from a club nearby and music from the resort's poolside. There was no air-conditioner in the bedroom so it was hot and stuffy. Not sure why they put the AC in the living room . Everything was run-down. WiFi was spotty. No internet at the pool. Basically used data almost the entire stay. Receptionist on 30th October (after breakfast slot) was rude. Male Receptionist on 4th November late afternoon was friendly. Lifeguards were busy using his/ her phone/ doing puzzles. Guy at egg station doesn't speak English. Housekeeping doesn't clean glasses and all dishes. But neither dishwashing detergent nor sponges were provided. I wonder how we are supposed to clean them. There was a requirement of 4 kids before the staff would 'open' The kids club and look after the kids. I saw a cockroach in my room. Good: 1. there were activities for kids at the al fresco area during dinner. There are peacocks in the compound. 2. Kids get all-inclusive automatically (the receptionist on 29th oct late afternoon session didnt inform us though. We found out later through other guests.) 3. Everyone kinda knows everyone. So if you have kids, they won't go missing. 4. Free buses to the beaches though the frequencies were limited. Overall, I probably wouldn't return to this resort. But if I do, it'd be because of Juan (the entertainment staff) because he puts his heart and soul into customer service and really tries to please everyone. Juan remembers a family that stayed in the resort 2 months ago. German entertainment staff also remembers names of guests.”
