However, it may take a little time to figure out how to operate the lights. Unfortunately, there is no kettle in the room, which can be inconvenient. If you are travelling from the UK, it may be worth brushing up on your German, as the staff's English language skills are limited. This language barrier can be frustrating when trying to communicate. The hotel is located a 27-minute walk away from Bregenz. Overall, my stay was very pleasant, and I might consider returning in the future.”

“I came here several nights while staying nearby for the summer and found it to be the best and most welcoming place in the Montafon. I did not stay in the rooms but visited the restaurant/bar. Gabriel and Johannes (the bartenders) were the most hospitable and friendly people I met my entire summer in Schruns. They were always helpful with coming up with drinks I would like and making me feel comfortable. I loved the live music on Tuesdays and Fridays. This was my go to spot and it should be yours too! You can get to it via a 10 minute walk from the top of the cable car from central Bregenz, or if you are brave you can cycle the very steep 8km up the winding mountain road. “We had a very relaxing stay at this somewhat remote sport Hotel. Some of the highlights include a fantastic buffet breakfast, very comfortable rooms and a friendly bartender. The hotel offers a very beautiful pool and sauna area, however, it may not suit everybody’s taste because it’s a dedicated nudist area. For those arriving with her electric car, the hotel offers charging, which was a very nice bonus. Additionally, the hotel offers nice amenities like a billiard table and ample free parking. An absolute highlight, is the beautifully presented breakfast buffet, which was slightly offset by the unhelpful staff in the morning. Notably, the hotel did not reserve dinner reservations for hotel guests, unless they have booked when advance. One tip we would offer you, you would be much better served across the street at the sister restaurant at the hotel. We had a fantastic dining experience there. A solid four stars for this four-star hotel.”

“We arrived around 11:00pm and called before to make sure we can access. We received a PIN Code but the Keypad was not working. We called the number posted but nobody answered. Luckily, after 30minutes a waitress left the hotel, letting us in. The reason for the negative review - we have been told that it was our fault as we typed to slow or fast and that the keypad works. Anyway - we have even recorded videos clearly showing it does not work. The management did not care. To top this - we have invited our family for the breakfast the next morning and made a reservation - the next morning we have been told that it is for hotel guests only, leaving us with our family in a great situation. Never again!”

“A very cozy place in a very good location and beautiful view! The staff in the reception are so kind, helpful and polite! The rooms are so clean and comfortable! The breakfast is good but the two ladies who served the breakfast were so busy and they sometimes forgot to make a table or refill some parts ! You can also have your breakfast in outdoor space with a wonderful view! They have free parking too which is one of the best positive points for this location! I personally think the prices is a little bit high respect to the quality but in overall we had a nice experience!”

“The bus stop to/from Bregenz is right across the street from/next to the hotel entrance. It was very nice we did not have to take the car to Bregenz. It was a quiet place with large rooms, good breakfast, and sauna/wellness facilites. The operating hours of the wellness/sauna facilites was not clearly marked/explained to us. Also, coming from Eastern Europe, it would have been nice to know if the sauna/wellness are was textile free or not. But in the end we had a busy schedule, and would have been unable to use it anyway.”

“I am giving this hotel 5 stars, although if I could I would make it only 4.5 stars. I think overall it's good value for money. I liked the breakfast and dinner buffets. The food is not amazing but for that price it is appropriate, like a 3-star hotel, I would say. We enjoyed the indoor soccer court, table tennis (more than one table would be good), pool table (would have preferred not to pay 2 Eur per game), play corner for toddlers and the location (train station is walking distance or easy access by car to gondolas and other attractions in summer). What I didn't like so much: I felt that the reception staff was a bit unfriendly (others have commented in their reviews about that as well). OK, they are probably under staffed and under paid but one could still pretend to be friendly. For example, I asked for the sauna to be turned on at 6 pm. I had to ask twice more until it was finally turned on properly and we could have a sauna at 8:30 pm but there was no apology for the delay at all. Also, I think they need to improve their ventilation system or temperature control: the restaurant and the indoor play area got very hot inside (it was early June and not yet that hot outside). How hot would it get in summer or would they use air conditioning then? Furthermore, the table tennis and play areas were closed off already at 9:30 pm and the reception area and lounge was made dark at 10 pm. So it was not possible to sit together with friends there later in the evening which I thought was a pity. Even if the staff wants to go home (understandably) couldn't the guests still have a nice area to sit (and maybe play table tennis) until at least 11 pm? Overall, it's a great place for families with children (I wouldn't go there without kids) and I very much liked the "Halbpension" (breakfast and dinner buffets) which not many hotels offer. So therefore, I would come back to this place!”

What we (2) loved most about this hotel was it’s more than kind waitress making every wish come true we had while having a meal. And second the location in the middle of the mountains. Close to some great hikes and not far away to have a great day at Lünersee. BTW: Sauna was clean + Great Spot as you will have a great view from there!”
