“Had a horrible experience at the hotel - their lift will not work and to cite my personal instance, one of my family member got stuck in the lift after entering it to reach the hotel in 7th floor as someone switched it off. The lift was stuck between ground and first floor. Luckily since I was outside the lift, my family member called/ informed me through phone (luckily the network was strong), I had to run and locate the lift maintenance room and was able to get the lift manually opened up to get my family member come out of it. The whole ordeal took 20 minutes and the security at the venue was pathetic. They will not bother to help, will not even speak to us. The hotel’s reception/ control over the facility was again pathetic. They were unable to help us immediately and couldn’t get anyone to attend to the situation immediately. On a wholesome, it was a scary and horrible, nightmare experience. Besides all of this, the security and lift maintenance team started blaming the hotel authorities and vice versa. This hotel is definitely not worth it for a family to stay and relish!”

They charging extra price for all the eatables which are kept in the room. If we eat those we have pay nearly 500 .They are not able to cover even 500 /- from our initial payment. The hotel corridor was like a mansion the ambience was not good.”

“The only good thing is it's located on the main road. Oh and the restaurant right below has some amazing nonveg food. Breakfast egg preparations are decent. Otherwise the hotel isnt great. The covers on the bed and pillows feel like they haven't been washed and are very old. They have a lot of the cotton clumping thing on it and my blanket cover even had ink stains on it. A lot of the light fixtures weren't working, wallpaper was peeling. The water coming out of the tap had a strong sulphur smell to it. Parking is absolutely terrible, especially if you have a big car. They don't have a proper "basement" parking and even if you want to park it in their so called basement parking, the path to go there is extremely narrow. They were unresponsive to the numerous times we did try to call the hotel before we reached. The only reason we put up with the place was due to the convenience wrt places we had to visit”

“Lance Hall is a nice air-conditioned hall to cater to mid-size to large functions; and this is within the Lance Hotel campus. They have a separate dining hall apart from the wedding venue. The facility is well-maintained and is clean. Possibly the best within Nagercoil city on party-halls in hotels. The hotel has limited parking within its premises, but also has a free parking at a walking distance which can be leverage. The facility is multi-storeyed, and I'm assuming they have lifts. I didn't use lifts for entering and exiting so not sure. You can rely on this place for planning a clean and pleasant event. The function I attended had food served by a 3rd party vendor (not sure if that was done by the hotel or organised by the organisers); and it was good too.”

“This place was recommended by a close friend of mine, as it is near the city centre ! The hotel is extremely safe for women who travel alone like me and backpackers ! I absolutely loved the rustic and charming side of this hotel ! The place is simple with some big plants... absolutely beautiful ! Budget friendly - it is a 2 star hotel so nothing luxurious, some rooms do need some renovation but the experience is totally worth it ! I had to stay longer in that hotel due to unforeseen circumstances but I have met amazing solo travellers from all around the world and the staff of the hotel are top-notch ! Marina beach is nearby, Express avenue for a quick shopping at the shopping mall and lots of nice restaurants around ! You also have bus stands and the metro station not too far away. There are also many movies that are being filmed in that hotel so you will encounter actors and crew members. It was nice and very interesting to see what was happening behind the curtains ! Lots of work going into those scenes ! (Some of the crew members believed I was an actress on set, 😅). Last but not least, I want to express my gratitude to Krishna, the owner of the hotel who has accommodated me so, so much, and to all the staff members, Mr Mahendran included, thank you all for your help, generosity and good laughs. And a big shout out to the cleaning ladies, who were also adorable and hilarious too ! :) Thank you BROAD LANDS for making my stay so special !
