Several restaurants are close and Nes (the closest village), where more restaurants and stores are located, is a short bike ride away. You can easily rent bikes through Landal or by simply going to the nearby bike rental (a 3-minute walk away if that and very cheap!). You can park right in front of the building, but there's so many other options for getting around (cheap taxi, cheap bus) that I'd recommend carefully considering whether you really need a car on Ameland.”

“I do not recommend the hotel to anyone. The rooms are dirty and smell like corpses. One afternoon, when I entered my room, a strange figure was lying in my bed. The staff made a mistake and gave the room to another person. This guest was not bothered that my suitcase, clothes and other things were there. They gave me another room with great difficulty, which I had to leave after two days for a third room. I will never come here again. Phew”
