They let us check in a bit earlier as the room was ready which was much appreciated after a long drive. Free parking in an on-site car park behind the hotel. Breakfast (included) is a self-serve buffet but everything was kept topped up so nothing ever ran out. You can pay for a full hot breakfast. I would recommend booking direct with the hotel as they run an offer where you can get the hot breakfast for free if you book direct (check if offer is available as we were there in off-season). The rooms are large and well-equipped. Great location, excellent price.”

The suburb was very dodgey and the car park was not great either. I have never left a bad review before but this experience was horrible. Tried to charge us a cancellation fee despite being kicked out. We left and found somewhere else that is perfect.”

“We stayed here as a family on a campsite. The we had site was large, and easy to access. It seems the park has lots of different sites with varying sizes. The showers are in a seperate building to the toilets (but very close by). Both amenities could have been cleaned more often considering the park was very busy. The laundry is small, and with the amount of people in peak times, was too small - multiple people waiting for washing machines. We didn't speak to reception/ staff as did self check-in, but this worked well with no problems.”

“Have been coming here for over 30 years. We have time share and it a shame we cannot see more of our annual maintenance fees being spent in the rooms. The facilities and rooms are always clean and staff clean the BBQ areas daily We always enjoy the golf course and it is an easy, flat walk. Across the road are some nice cafes and shops are worth a look.”

“Pretty good experience for our large group overall with terrific highs and other mediocre aspects: HIGH: - Breakfast and staff for breakfast at the room near reception - fantastic in every way! - Beds are very comfortable and the plumbing/shower work a treat. - Meals in the pub are generally quite acceptable and enjoyable. MEDIOCRE: - Meals in the pub are generally quite acceptable and enjoyable, however the smokers on the balcony leave the door open ALL OF THE TIME meaning they generously share their swill with those dining. This is to the detriment of the hotel as many of our group just went to our rooms early to get away from the smoke. The hotel obviously loses ongoing food/bar sales because of this!! - The excessive noise in the eating area of the pub is terrible making conversation for all a real difficulty. - The rooms with 2 beds really require a small table and just 2 chairs as there is nowhere to sit down apart from the toilet. I know there is not a huge amount of room, but have seen similar rooms around Australia with a small table/chairs. SUGGESTIONS: - Look at enlisting the services of some automatic electric door installers to sort out where the smokers are. - Look at enlisting the help of some architectural acoustic specialists to hopefully inexpensively tame the noise in the pub dining area. - Look at some small table chair options for some of the rooms. It’s pretty obvious that these apartments (which are completely separate from the hotel) are used for travelling tradesmen/salesmen etc. Close to supermarkets and other shops. Horrible views of a water easement. Not ideal for a tourist travelling around Tassie.”
