“Had a great short business trip here, and I have to tell you the staff is super friendly and accommodating. I was in town for a training session, in which a conference room was rented, and they went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we needed. I felt that they went over and above by providing the A/V cables we needed as well as printed copies of documents and even AAA batteries. The location seems to be super convenient (I am not familiar with the area) with some restaurants within walking distance. I wish I would have gotten the staff member's names so I could highlight them here, but everyone I encountered was a pleasure to deal with. Will definitely return if I am ever back in Wausau!”

“After having quite the day of bad weather missed flights, and finally ending up in Milwaukee around midnight, I found myself without a room I called and the girl at the front desk Her name was Anastasia. Extremely nice. She immediately sent a shuttle over to the airport to pick me up and from the moment I walked in those doors the service was just excellent. I would highly recommend, this establishment the rooms were super clean even when I went to breakfast the next morning the staff was super friendly and nice thank you all for making me feel welcome”

“I had a great stay. Room was good. No closet but there are ample hooks by door if you needs to hang things. Don’t forget hangers! Common area was very nice. Better than my house! Parking in rear has enough space for count of rooms. Not enough space if people park stupid. I had a few questions while there and my texts were answered with lightening speed. My only complaint is my own fault and that is that I did not book the lone handicapped accessible room. At my age and that I live in a ranch house, I did not account for the two flights of very long stairs to get upstairs. Next time I’m getting the lone lower floor room that has its own kitchen. The neighborhood is fantastic. It’s also convenient to lots of cool places, especially the Bronze Fonz only ten minute drive. Loved it all!”

“Came here for my anniversary with my partner and it was truly worth the trip! I love the atmosphere in this space. Very romantic and it has a great vibe. We were greeted right away by the staff and they were so friendly. Our waitress was nice and very helpful. Since it was our first time we just did the unlimited tapas and it was pretty filling. We got it because we wanted to try everything and still couldn’t make it through everything. But overall the food and the experience was great and I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who is looking for a fun night out!”

“We had an amazing experience at the Homewood! Our room was 613, with lofted ceilings and a stunning view overlooking the city, lake, and river. Gorgeous. We did not hear the interstate much at all and felt the whole room was clean and spacious. The workers at the front desk could not have been more helpful. Every day we were gifted water and goodie bags. They answered all of our questions. The hot tub was such an added bonus and we enjoyed it nightly. Our experience was lovely and we’d highly recommend staying again. It was a great location that felt safe and close to many things. Side note: many people say the parking is complicated. It was tricky the first time and then after that, a complete breeze. The hardest part is finding it but once you do, it is easy to come and go as you please.”

However, our room had no clock, the phone was useless without a cord, the smoke detector placed about our bed had annoying tiny blasting lights, the floors were ice cold, and I was awakened at midnight by another hotel guest blasting their tv! “This is such a lovely hotel. I have stayed there twice and loved it both times. Seeing the 3-star hotel rating is surprising. This is much nicer than other 3-star hotels, including the Quality Inn down the road a bit....and it doesn't cost much more. Plus, their continental breakfast is actually a wonderful full breakfast! The restaurant was closed when we visited but they allowed us to bring a pizza in to the bar, which was lively and has a great view of the bay.”

“Rooms were setup nicely, a separate area with fireplace, a dining area and small kitchen along with a fairly large bedroom area. My main issue was the windows had quite a draft through them and someone was smoking weed outside and could smell it clear as day. I'm not opposed to it however with all the windows closed and still smelling it, they definitely need to do some renovations. The couch was not very comfortable for relaxing on and the whirlpool was a bit small for 2 people. Neither one of us are large people but it would have been nicer had it been a bit bigger. Overall not a bad place”
