“I stayed at one-bedroom apartment for one night and the room was clean and spacious. The hotel is well located and has a short walking distance to the harbour. The only downside is the hotel doesn't appear to have it's own restaurant, so I was referred to the nearby Coffee Club (20 metres away from the hotel) for the breakfast. I was happy with everything and I have already rebooked in another 3 nights when bringing family to visit Auckland in 2024.”

“Very convenient location close to town centre. Reasonably priced. Staff are very helpful and friendly and hostel is well-cleaned and taken care of. Beds are comfortable with curtains and a night light for privacy. Most people who stay are fairly chilled, not lots of loud partying late into the night. Only downside is that the bigger dormitories are near to a noisy street, but I wore earplugs and this was fine.”

“Dreadful stay, the indian chap on reception was rather rude and wanted to seriously argue with me about the undercover parking I had booked repeatedly trying to tell me it was outside instead. Then the shower drain in the bathroom of the room was blocked and caused a flood out to the carpet in the bedroom, poor cleaning practices obviously. Took me ages to clean up the flood, the lady on reception the next day asked why I didnt request to change rooms, well the indian chap was the only person around and I didnt want another argument. Put in a complaint to the hotel, manager failed to contact me back as promised, then on chasing this up offered me free parking next time and swept the blocked drain issue under the carpet basically couldnt of cared less about it or the fact I had to waste quite a bit of my time to sort.”

“I stayed in this hotel 10 years ago and had good memories so wanted to stay again. Unfortunately, as everyone else has said, the rooms are really dated now and need renovation. I was put into a room with two single beds after booking a double. I paid extra for a view and a balcony and the room they suggested to move me into (if I wanted the bigger bed) had neither. I just wanted what I booked. Supposed to be a non-smoking room but badly smells of cigarette smoke. I guess it’s just in the carpets after so many years. No restaurant and instead you can buy frozen meals and a “breakfast box” which reminds me of something you would get from the dairy as a child. The phone emitted a strange high-pitched noise every few minutes so I had to unplug it. It’s very strange and a bit sad to see how the hotel is going down hill. They should really invest into making it a proper 4 star hotel again. The staff member I spoke to was friendly and the room has a nice view but I don’t think I would stay here again.”

“I booked this room last minute due to a change in flight schedule. I was arriving after midnight and flying out at 8 am. The staff member was cruisey and reassuring, she said just come to the apartment and she will book the room. The room was tight but lovely. Bathroom was a bit outdated but water pressure was good and spacious. Bed great, slept well and I was warm. I did not have time to appreciate what else was on offer. Location close enough to airport and tbe mall. Price was reasonable for a last minute booking.”

Dear management, please fix the air conditioner problem so your employees don't have to spend so much time apologizing. It's been at least 23 degrees in our room for three days. We have already switched rooms. We have overheard others asking the desk how to cool the rooms down. Beds are comfy, and the shower has good temperature and pressure. Employees are friendly. Wi-Fi is fast. It's just hot in the rooms . We will book a different hotel next time in Auckland.”

However, the rooms were a bit lacklustre as the room we stayed in had a shower faucet that was a bit broken making it hard to get the right pressure and temperature of the water.
