“I really enjoyed our time here! We rented a room to celebrate my 11 year olds birthday and so she could swim with a couple of her friends. We were all impressed at how nice the rooms were. You could definitely cook and be comfortable for a week or more! The fitness center and pool were definitely nicer than the other hotels in the area. Staff was also pleasant. Well stocked rooms, plenty of towels in the room and pool area.”

“I chose this hotel based on the suites and being dog friendly. Exceeded my expectations by a mile! Super friendly staff, great location (right out the front is excellent dog walking by the water) suite was one of the largest I have been in for some time. Also a plus hardwood floors (no allergy inducing carpets). Prices very reasonable for this level of a room. Also, great shuttle service provided by the hotel in the afternoon, driver Randy is the best! Also valet parking is the way to go. This is the place to stay in Portland!”

The Footbridge is maybe a 5 min walk from the beach...surrounded by at least 3 places that are a quick walk for food. No complaints. We can't wait to return. Thank you!”

“Beautiful location. Easy parking. Amazing food! The room was huge (king loft) and offered everything you’d need for a longer stay and the bed was SO comfortable. It just feels tired for the price point and for being an iPrefer hotel. Our phone didn’t work (so we had to go to the lobby to order food each time), the carpet was buckling and had tears and rips everywhere, the face plate fell off the light switch, the heated tiles didn’t work, and it’s VERY loud-you hear every door slam and the doors are so heavy it’s impossible for them not to slam (just add a slow close feature 🤷🏼‍♀️) unless you wait with the door. The front desk the night we arrived seemed generally uninterested and not surprised by our room issues, which was also a miss for this type of stay. We love that it’s pet friendly but it’s definitely more family friendly than we cared for (not everyone thinks a kid dribbling a basketball outside everyone’s windows at 9 AM is cute…). We do think it’s worth trying again and we’ll probably do so in a different room type now that we have a better idea what to expect. Just know it’s a great spot for the area but also due for a bit of an update-both staff and decor.”

“Elmwood is a great resort, super convenient location, 1 mile to everything you need. Our 2 bedroom unit was clean, nicely decorated, and pretty up to date. Kitchen and bathrooms were spotless and have everything you need. We had plenty of towels and linens for the pool and shower. The housekeeping was not done during our visit (off season) but we're available for anything you could need. We were glad not to have unneeded housekeeping so it was nice for us. They have a great online system to request more of anything you need and they drop it off to your door. The indoor pool was clean and well maintained. Perfectly heated and comfortable for swimming on those cold days. Location is about 10 minutes to Kennebunkport, 5 minutes or less to a grocery store, Dunkin across the street and Aroma Joe's about 5 minutes away. Overall, I highly recommend a stay here. I will be back for the regular season.”

“The rooms I saw were dated but in good shape. Comfy beds, fridge, microwave, multiple shampoos and conditioners which everyone skimps on these days. Table with chairs, ironing board and a balcony with a nice view of the property. There are ocean view rooms. Service was outstanding. The two or three people I interacted with at the front desk were friendly, helpful, informative and professional. The gift shop is great and the same hours as the front desk. Nice, nostalgic indoor pool and hot tub (you'll see). Short drive to downtown or Acadia. I'll be back!”

“This was a cool location we stopped at on our road trip. Right in the ocean next to a waterfront amusement park(only open on weekends) that gave us a real Coney Island vibe. Sadly everything was closed both days we were here but the Sunrise in the morning was unreal and made up for it. The rooms are basic but comfortable with a bed a chair and a couch. It also has a small fridge and a range for cooking if you wanted as well as a microwave and a television. They have a nice outdoor pool and hot tub but if you stay they allow you to use any of the pools along the strip which is great, especially during busier times. It is also a 2 minute walk to the beach if you prefer a dip in the ocean. Our room faced the ocean and in the morning the sunrise was awesome, it really highlighted the trip!”

“My husband took me here as a surprise for my birthday. It was off season so it was quiet and staff were minimum. But it was a wonderful experience and stay. The island is fun to explore, the beaches are plentiful and also fun to explore. There were bikes to rent. Paths around the island were relatively flat and easy to navigate. We had dinner down by the water, dinner was delicious, as were the drinks. We're hoping to go back again, also off season, to explore the island some more.”

The trolley stops right in front of the motel. It's super close to everything. The pool was just the right size and very quiet.. and you can't beat the price. We will be back next summer.”
