“Incredible experience, this is for sure the highlight of my trip in Japan. You can ask at the Nikko station tourist center to call the hotel for a shuttle bus to give you a ride to the hotel (and I can't recommend you enough to do it, going from the bus stop to the hotel seems really intensive). We booked a room with a private onsen on the balcony, which had a view on nature and river with carps. Dinner and breakfast were also amazing, I'm at lost of word to describe the experience we had, and the staff was on par with this. If you have the budget to treat yourself for one night, this is the hotel you need to highly consider.”

“It was a wonderful experience. From check-in to check-out, all the staff made you feel honored. Various small touches in the hotel also enrich our five senses. From the fragrance, music to the choice of clothing, our senses of sight, smell, hearing, touch and taste all feel very relaxed. I personally like the slippers and bathrobes used in the hotel very much. They are very comfortable. The dinner and breakfast are both delicious and beautiful. The only pity is that the WiFi quality in the whole hotel is not very good, and it is impossible to transfer videos since check-in till check-out. Finally, the terrace on the trail has a great atmosphere. It's a pity that the sofas look a bit dirty. Otherwise, it would be nice to sit there and enjoy the forest. 高畑愛子’s hospitality make my breakfast time so enjoyable!”

“Absolutely lovely hotel - perfect stay. The onsen was a real treat, the Japanese style room was special, and the breakfast was really good. Stay here if you want to experience a traditional Japanese ryokan with the amenities of a larger hotel. This place deserves to be full all year around, but was very quiet when we visited, we couldn’t understand why. You will not be disappointed if you stay. It’s especially good if you have a rental car because of the free parking.”
